We cannot condone the fans and professionals to the nautical, this attack on one of the best nautical clubs in the world... to the Real Club Nautico de Palma

Incomprehensible from all points of view, what is happening in Palma de Mallorca, with one of the most important nautical institutions not only in Spain, but all over the world. The concern of the Royal Spanish Federation of Vela is absolutely shared by the vast majority of those who are in the field of sports nautical, either as professionals, or as fans, or as communicators, as is the case with those who form the drafting of Digital Nautica.

We have had a dialogue with many fans of our geographical area on the subject, and we can confirm with great strength: that THE VEL OF THE ATLANTICO IS INDIGNATED BY THE ATAQUE TO THE NAUTICO OF PALMA DE MALLORCA, an indignation that the majority of the Lusian fans... who admire Palma and are common in those areas.

May the politicians and technicians of the port institution of Baleares rethink and reverse their diabolical and absurd pretensions, which bear the seal of the destruction of the work that those responsible for the Nautico have harvested in recent decades, making the Royal Nautical Club of Palma an example to follow... both for the prestige they have given to their city, their community and Spain... with a generation of business for the hospitality and the direct sector of the nautical, impossible to quantify... for its enormity.

Reissued from the Royal Spanish Vela Federation

In view of the latest information on the process of renewal of the concession of the Real Club Náutico de Palma, the Real Federación Española de Vela (RFEV) wishes to express public concern about the empeciarization of the Harbour Authority of Balearic Islands (APB) in making it difficult to continue one of the most important sports entities in our country.

The RFEV does not understand how the file for the extension of the RCNP concession has remained unresolved for seven years, nor that the process for its archiving has been initiated when less than 15 days before the concession expires with a legal report of State Ports clearly in the interests of the club.

The port administration, whether State or autonomous, should be a guarantor of the important social and sports work of the nautical clubs integrated in the RFEV and, however, as has been seen in the case of the RCNP, seems to be committed to the contrary.

The sailing is the discipline that the most Olympic medals have brought to the Spanish sport and, as this federation has already stated on several occasions, it would not exist without the fundamental competition of the nautical clubs. Port agencies can no longer ignore this reality.
