The Port strengthens its commitment to catamarans with a new space that will accommodate 30 extra units, placing itself with a total of 47 specific moorings for multicascos in the Navy

Port Ginesta, the largest marina in Spain, with a mooring area greater than 60,000 m2 (6,000 m)2 Of which they are specific for multicascos) and with 150 premises dedicated to trade and the nautical industry, with more than 200 marks represented, continues to bet on the multicascos sector with the opening of the first dársena of Europe dedicated exclusively to this type of boat.

The new space will accommodate 30 new units, in addition to the 17 already existing points, it brings to a total of 47 the specific moorings for catamarans between 40 and 80 feet. The dársena will help the port to optimize the space and improve its services, as catamarans need moorings adapted to their particular characteristics, other than the single-hull boat.

Port Ginesta detected a few years ago that the multicasque sector would experience exponential growth. A trend that has been confirmed in recent years, as according to Globe Sailor data, catamaran rental has increased by 40% during 2022.

Port Ginesta's bet began 30 years ago, but it has been in recent years that the Navy has made a firm bet to become a benchmark within the sector by which they bet shipyards of international reference catamarans such as Lagoon, the world's first manufacturer, based in Port Ginesta, Outremer, Bali, Excess, Catana, Neel...

It was also the first marina to adapt catamaran moorings in Spain and to acquire a Croc Lift, the self-supporting amphibian hydraulic car with the capacity to dry catamarans up to 45 ton. weight and 12 meters of sleeve.

This October Port Ginesta carried out the Port Ginesta Multihull Rally & Race, the first multi-brand community race throughout Europe dedicated exclusively to multicascos.
