Bruno Iglesias del Club Náutico Deportivo de Riveira, has proclaimed himself the absolute winner of the Meeting Gadis- Grand Prix Cidade da Coruña, an event of the Abanca Week reserved for the optimist class and that has organized the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña, in memory of which was its great historical president Aurelio Fernández Lage.

The regatist of the Ria de Arousa, was escorted in the podium, by two great promises of the Spanish candle, such as Fernando González del Castillo of the host club and Luis Wizner Pérez- The source of the Royal Nautic Club of Vigo, son of the historic Andalusian skipper and of the great heavy sailing classes, such as the Copa América: Laureano Wizner.

The Sunday day had an acceptable wind and sea conditions, with the prevailing south wind of 10 knots. The first Sunday manga was the winner of Bruno Iglesias, while the second was for his great rival, the number 1 of the ranking... the Herculine Fernando González del Castillo... it caused them to face the manga in total equality; but here the one of Riveira did not fail, achieved a new first and was erected as absolute victor.

The very young Vigo regatist, Luis Wizner, was still a Sub13, as was Jaime Díaz de Marina Coruña, who was fourth. In girls the best, as in the first day, was Aitana Pérez González of the Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona, which was located tenth in the general. Aitana had a lot of merit in this fight with the boys, as the strong wind of the first day clearly benefited them before the girls, and the Baiona's had quality (the wind arrived on Saturday at 22 knots).

In the group of the younger people, Marco Minguez was also imposed from Monte Real, followed by a female: Sofia Arevalillo del Náutico de Ribeira and Calixto Escariz of the Club Marítimo de Canido. In this group highlight David Villaverde of the Club Fluvial de As Pontes de García Rodríguez who was fourth... being the best of Ferrolterra, a girl: Lida Suoniemi Veiga, second in its category and ninth in the general.

On Saturday, December 3, the final closure of the Abanca Week in the river of Pontevedra with the Galicia de Remo-Villa de Marín... which is on the edge of the 100 batels, which means a new record of Spain's participation... with 600 remers of which 250 will be girls.

2022-11-26: Abanca Week: a lot of wind at the Meeting Gadis, with northern domain

Bruno Iglesias del Club Náutico Deportivo de Riveira, is the provisional leader of the Meeting Gadis of the Class Optimist Gran Prix City of La Coruña, which is immersed in the Abanca Week and pays tribute to one of the most prestigious and longing presidents of the Galician nautical: Aurelio Fernández Lage of the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña.

2022-11-25: Vela base at the Abanca Week: Meeting Gadis- City of La Coruña with 150 optimist

In the herculine bay for the base candle, with the race created in honor of the memory, of one of the largest workers of the Galician candle... for which he was president of the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña: Aurelio Fernández Lage.

In Coruñese waters, the most pomegranate of the north-west sail will meet, with 150 ships that will have the canals to which they point high in the immediate future, case of the two favorites of this penultimate act of the Abanca Week: in boys the Coruñés Fernando González del Castillo and in girls the viguesa Carolina Comesaña... that of the Nautico de La Coruña and her of the Marítimo de Canido. Both are ranked number one, before starting the Meeting Gadis City of La Coruña in Optimist.

There will be two intense days, beginning on Saturday at 2: 00 in the afternoon (two hours before will be held at the Nautico Sports the meeting of patterns) and on Sunday at 10: 30. The goal of the Regata Director, that six sleeves be held, distributed in three days.

In online boys the first five of the current ranking: the quoted González del Castillo, the olive-rich Paco Rivera del Náutico de Vigo, who is only 13 years old and is already among the best; the ribeirense Bruno Iglesias is the third, which has an exceptional quality. In the girls' ranking, the first five will be on the way out: in Carolina... by the Royal Nautical Club Rodeira de Cangas Carolina Ramírez, by the Nautico de La Coruña Nora Nieto, by the Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona Aitana Pérez and Arancha Riveiro also from the nautical Coruñés. Great atmosphere in front of this Meeting Gadis, in which the club with the most representation is the host: the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña with 26 ships (15 male and 11 female); followed by that of Vigo (12 and 8) and three clubs with 14 ships... Maritime of Canido (8 and 6), Marina Coruña (7 and 7) and Nautico Sanxenxo (5 and 9). In total 13 clubs all over the Galician coast, and from areas of the interior case of the Invivial of As Pontes.
