He couldn't start a successful edition of the 4th Centenary Regata in Santiago de la Ribera... the wind didn't want

The first day of the two planned in the IV Centenary Regata, organized by the RCR of Santiago de la Ribera, has maintained the intended script, and it was no other than that wind of component SW (Suroest- 320th) that everyone knew could come, according to the various weather parts.

At 1100 hours the two race committees, there are two race areas, were made to the race field to see if the wind conditions improved to be able to launch the first test of the day. At 1400 hours the committee of the Optimist area returned to the ground, seeing that the intensity of the wind did not fall, on the contrary, by loading the streak it was over 30 knots.

In the other area, with the ILCA and Snipe, the committee was holding on to see if it was possible to move the two fleets. Impossible. After 3 p.m. the committee made the decision to return to the ground, so the ILCA and Snipe were to continue dry without completing a test.

The organizing committee, after analysing the weather parts for the second day, Sunday 20, and according to the forecasts, will be better than today's, go ahead the top of departure at 11 a.m. and extend the time limit for the last test. With this, it is intended to be able to close four tests and if it is done it will be able to deliver in play the discards, contributing even more if there is more emotion to the race, given the changes that occur in the general classification.
