The seventh edition of the America's Cup in 2024 is already a palpable reality in Barcelona. And to celebrate it, ACE Barcelona S.L., the organizer of the event created by the Ombudsman and owner of the rights, Emirates Team New Zealand, has offered a presentation to the media at the Museu Marítima de Barcelona, with the presence and support of the institutions that host the event and a varied representation of the civil society entities of Barcelona, Catalunya and Spain.

The high point of the presentation has been the launch of the new logo and image of the 37th America's Cup. Grant Dalton, CEO of America's Cup Event Barcelona, has explained the choice of the agency responsible for the new design, which unites the values of the America's Cup and Barcelona, as well as giving the city more prominence than ever in the history of the oldest trophy in international sport. For 10 weeks, between August and October 2024, Barcelona will revive the spirit and pride of the summer of '92.

The design and selection process has been organized by the ADG-FAD, a national non-profit association made up of art directors and graphic designers from Spain who from a final list of three finalists, has ended up choosing the study of design and identity Pràctica, with headquarters in Barcelona and New York.

One of the most exciting projects being planned for local and international fans is the America's Cup Experience, an informative and experiential space of everything related to the America's Cup, including history, equipment, science and innovation, children's areas, and the opportunity to experience the excitement of the American's Cup races with interactive simulators and the extraordinary IMAX experience of being on board an AC75 of the competing teams on the 600 square meter screen. All in the heart of the American's Cup village, in the IMAX building.

Dalton explained the dates and format of the event. The Official Beginning Ceremony of the 37th America's Cup will be held in Barcelona on August 22, 2024. They will follow the final preliminary test and the Challenge Selection Series, which will lead to America's Cup Match. During 2023 / early 2024, there is the possibility of up to three preliminary events. During the summer of 2023 all teams will have their base installed and will be training in Barcelona. The action starts very soon.

The 37th America's Cup will consist of several tests that will culminate in the October Match. The Pre-Trial Regates will serve as a warming regatta before the Challenger Selection Series, in which it will be decided who moves forward and faces the Defender for the final prize. In addition, women and young people from Women's and Youth America's Cup will start to compete at the highest level, thus opening the way to the future of America's Cup. For the first time in 171 years of history, a women's America's Cup will be held. The neural center of the Women's & Youth America's Cup competition will be the Port Olympic, which is being subjected to a major remodeling to host the teams, as well as the Hydrogen Hydrogen Motor Ships (Fails) project, such as the Chase One of Emirates Team New Zealand that will be an example of sustainability for the maritime industry worldwide, and contribution to the Barcelona Blue Economy.
