The third day of the senior European of ILCA being held in Hyeres has been affected by the strong wind that has blown today on the French coast. As Ana Moncada and Joel Rodríguez lead the national participation, the results of today's rise of Joan Cardona to position 44, climbing forty-three positions, stand out.

2022-11-15: With more than 350 lasers starts in Hyeres the European of ILCA 6 and 7

29 national lasers compete in the ILCA class European Championship: 14 in ILCA 7, 11 in ILCA 6 female and 4 in ILCA 6 male

It begins in Hyères, France, the European Championship of the class ILCA (7, 6 female and 6 male) which will last until next Monday and in which a total of 29 Spanish regatists will take part.

As is common in the championships of this Olympic class, participation is very high. In the case of ILCA 7, the total number of registered persons is 177, 143 of them with European flag (14 Spanish) and 36 non-European. In ILCA 6 women will be 110 the regatists who fight for victory, 95 European (11 Spanish) and 18 non-European. And in ILCA 6 men have registered 66 athletes, all of them European (4 Spanish), 52 Sub21 (2 Spanish).

Among the Spaniards, the community with the highest representation is the Valencian with eight regatists: Ascension Roca, Sheila Martínez, Lara Himmes and Angela Andúgar in ILCA 6 female; Gonzalo Suárez, Jorge Gonzalvez and Marcos Altarribia in ILCA 7; and Joan Ravie in ILCA 6 male. It is followed by the Balearic Islands with seven regatists: Marga Perelló and Miriam Sitges in female ILCA 6; Joan Cardona, Pep Cazador, Javier Segui and Mario Plomer in ILCA 7; and Daniel Cardona in male ILCA 6. Five are the athletes of the Canary Islands: Joel Rodríguez, Joaquín Blanco and Leo Barreto in ILCA 7; and Martina Reino and Isabel Hernández in ILCA 6 female. With five athletes there will also be Catalonia: Cristina Pujol in ILCA 6 female; Ricard Castellvi and Pol Font in ILCA 7; and Mon Cañellas and Max Urquizu in ILCA 6 male. Galicia has two regatists: Claudia Sobral in ILCA 6 female and Diego Peleteiro in ILCA 7. And with an inscription will be Andalusia, Ana Moncada in ILCA 6 female, and Cantabria, Víctor Gorostegui in ILCA 7.
