The Nautical Week of Alicante will remember the memory of Quinito Quero, one of the references of the adapted candle in our country
The board of directors of the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante, at the initiative of its President Miguel López, will make this year the Nautical Week of Sailing Light in the tribute to the memory of the figure of Quinito Quero, the Italian regatist five times champion of Spain and who was sailing director of the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante.
The Nautical Week of Light Sailing will begin on December 3 and this edition will be more special than ever for the entire Real Club of Regatas of Alicante, which will dedicate this great sporting event to Joaquín Quero, a great symbol in the national nautical sport and great friend of the club that died in May of this same year.
His desire to overcome led him to numerous successes as he has been a five-time champion of Spain... Quero participated in the Paralympic Games in Sydney in 2000 and in Athens in 2004, he has been a regatist in numerous editions of The King's Cup, The Queen's Trophy.
Another of his sports achievements was to participate in the 1981 Vuelta al Mundo Regata on board the 43 first Spanish ship that participated in the Vuelta al Mundo, setting up a great professional project... as had never existed in the Spanish sailing.
