There was a great concern among the organizers about the notice of temporary sea, with waves of five and even six meters... at the end of the Xunta de Galicia declared orange alert on the coast of the province of A Coruña, and the cancellation of the day was already the matter of the authorities, so the provisional results of Saturday became definitive.

Carlos Ladra, the mayor of Cabanas, presided over the closing ceremony, in which the winners of the three categories were honored: Urbápaz de Francisco Edreira en ORCA, Raygrass III de José Antonio Núñez en ORCB and Lacazán de Ignacio Miguel Pedrosa en OPEN, while in the absolute UrbáPaz was the clear winner, by accumulating two first in the first two valid sleeves.

In the Dehler 36 of Edreira they sailed: Diego Carral a la rea (the young president of the Náutico de Cabanas), César García (mayor), Esteban Martínez de la Colina (tactic), Juan Filgueira (triber de génova y spi), Oscar Reboedo (piano), Xurxo Dopico (libero), María Pena (palo) and Malena García (bow).

After Edreira, a Raygrass who is always there in the first squares and who already knows what it's like to win the Northern Cruises of Galicia at Abanca Week. José Antonio Núñez achieved the silver, which is taken to his Maritimo del Carrumeiro, with two partial seconds, leaving the bronze for another of the grades of the Galician fleet of cruises: the Alma do Mar by Sadamar that achieved a third and a fourth.

The middle area of the table was made up of good crews with excellent ships, case of the Zeppelin of Ignacio Rodríguez, the X-Grog of José Antonio Díaz, Eleko-Mambo of the Vigués Carlos Sampedro Curbera and the Lambaix, a beautiful Jeaneau 3600 that patronea Antonio Ríos and that was damaged, by the wind somewhat raging prevailing in the river of Betanzos on Saturday.

They complete the top ten, three ships with a lot of danger, as they join their good teams to which they are of reduced length and with their quilated rating they usually give a lot of play: Golfiño de José Naya, Pingon de José Manuel Naveiro and Golafre de Benito Calvo. To highlight the participation of the Hansa- Marina Coruña, the 60 feet of its School of Ocean Sailing, which had the presence of Chuny Bermudez de Castro in the bathtub, and the excellent Herculine cane Enrique Vilariño to his patron... as well as the world champion of heavy sailing Jesus Pintos with Figaro 55.

The Abanca Week celebrates its next two events in Coruñesa capital: first to the appointment of monotypes J80 with female crews: the Trophy Cidade da Coruña Isabel Zendal and as close the Meeting Gadis Cidade da Coruña with the memory of the unforgettable Aurelio Fernández Lage, in both cases organized by the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña.

UrbáPaz de Francisco Edreira y Raigrass de José Antonio Núñez, lead the two official categories in ORC del Trophy Vila de Cabanas- Gran Prix Divino Rei, which is immersed in Abanca Week... and which ends this Sunday in the waters of the river of Betanzos.

In the last hour of Saturday, there was a lot of concern among the organizers, about the development of the weather vaticino that was communicating the Xunta of Galicia to the citizens... and derived from it the declaration of orange alert, which if confirmed would definitely lead to the cancellation of the second day. For this case, which is increasingly likely, the classifications of the first day, would become definitive... and with regard to the closure that will be presided over by the mayor of Cabanas Carlos Ladra, would be advanced... keeping the place: the Centre of Interpretation of the Marine Environment of the said Coruñés municipality.

The leaders of the Regatas Committee took out oil with the windfalls in the Betanzos River on Saturday afternoon... despite the few 6-7 knots in the south, those of Carlos Sardiña managed to carry out two valid tests in ORC and one in the slowest of the Open Division... which were also proud in education in ORC, and more complex in the Open Division, due to their slowness of participants in this category.

In ORC A, the victory of Urbapaz that was in the two sleeves held, the second being the X-Grog of Antonio Díaz with a third and a second... and the third closing the podium the Alma do Mar by Sadamar of José Manuel Enriquez Arias, who did just the opposite a second and a third. The untie to points, the last score, hence the order indicated.

After the medalists, an Eleko Mambo was placed who had gone out of line on the first manga, as did the Hansa- Marina Coruña, which hit them in their classification... despite being imposed in real time on both tests. The 60 foot that is the banner of the School of Ocean Sailing that runs the great ocean pattern Chuny Bermudez de Castro... that had the coruñés Enrique Vilariño... behind them the world champion of cruises Jesus Pintos with his Figaró 55.
