Three Spanish ships ended up inside the Top 6 continental

Pol Marsans and José Manuel Ruiz won the silver medal in the 49er junior European championship last week at Lake Balaton, Hungary. In addition to this podium, Spain managed to close the competition with two more crews within the Top 6 continental: Martin and Jaime Wizner were five, and Conrad Konitzer and Fernando Rordrugiez, six.

The competition brought together 33 junior crews of 49er and 49er FX and the final results, after seven disputed tests, I was very tight. The victory was taken by the Polish team Kosmalski / Lewandoski with 23 points. In second position the Spanish Marsans and Ruiz had 31 points, the same as the third classified, the Belgian ship of Jonghe / Steenberge.

We should also highlight the Wizner Martin and Jaime brothers who had an outstanding performance (even got a second and a third) and who could be on podium... as well as Conrad Konitzer and Fernando Rodríguez, the two duplas were fifth and sixth.
