The circuit has celebrated its official presentation at the facilities of the Reial Club Nàutic of Barcelona, within the framework of the International Nautical Salon of Barcelona, with the presence of the Commodore of the Real Club Nautico of Barcelona, Pablo Garriga; the president of the Real Club Nautico of Valencia, Marisa Arlandis; the president of the Real Club Nautico of Palma, Emérico Fuster; and Joan Balaguer representing the Federació Catalana de Vela

The Mediterranean Circuit of Vela is a joint initiative of the real nautical clubs of Palma, Barcelona and Valencia, which aims to vertebrate the national calendar of races to encourage the participation of the ships in tests outside their community of origin.

The Circuit is composed of three events: the PalmaVela that will be held from 3 to 7 May in Palma de Mallorca and will be its 19th edition, the second event will be the Trophy of Vela Conde Godó, coinciding with a very special edition, as the dean celebrates its 50th anniversary, will be from 24 to 28 May in Barcelona; the third and the one that will close the circuit will be in Valencia with the Trophy SM The Queen from 30 June to 2 July.

The circuit involves ORC cruises, with a class classification, ORC0, ORC1, ORC2, and ORC3. As a novelty, work is being done together to ensure that in the next edition the ORC A Two class is incorporated, a growing class where the race part is combined with the sailing fan that is being introduced and have the opportunity to start competing with less human means. In addition, in 2023 it will match the celebration of the World ORC A Two at the Real Club Nautico in Barcelona. A vessel which has taken part in at least two of the three races shall be eligible for the title of winner.

In addition to the first-class award, the Mediterranean Sailing Circuit includes the Grand Prix for the Best Mediterranean Club, for which it scores the best-rated boat of each club in each race. The winning club is in possession of the trophy for a year, until the next edition is held.

The presentation has ended with the presentation of trophies of the 2022 edition. The winners were Blue Carbon de Toni Guiu, RCN Barcelona in ORC1, Brujo de Alberto de Castro, RCN Valencia in ORC1, M8-Zas Zailing de Hermanos Frances Armengot, RCN Valencia in ORC 2, and Gaitero II - The Gaitero of Club Nautico Ibiza in ORC 3... the best club in the Mediterranean has been the Real Club Nautico in Barcelona.
