"His Majesty the King will preside over the opening event of the 60th edition of the International Nautical Hall of Barcelona, which will bring together the main brands of the sector. Don Felipe will open the International Nautical Hall of Barcelona 2022 organized by Fira de Barcelona, in collaboration with the National Association of Nautical Companies, which will bring together from 12 to 16 October 221 exhibitors and more than 700 ships, 182 of which will be in the water, including 28 catamarans and 14 candidates for the best European ship of the year. In this way, the event will again be the largest event in the Spanish nautical sector and one of the most important on the European calendar, occupying 21,000 square meters of exhibition surface.

Organized by Fira de Barcelona, in collaboration with the National Association of Nautical Enterprises (ANEN), the living room will meet from 12 to 16 October to 221 exhibitors and more than 700 ships, 182 of them in the water, including 28 catamarans and 14 candidates for the best European boat of the year. In this way, the event will again be the largest event in the Spanish nautical sector and one of the most important on the European calendar, occupying 21,000 square meters of exhibition surface.

Leader firms such as Azimut Yachts, Bali Catamarans, Bavaria, Beneteau, De Antonio Yachts, Elan, Filippetti Yachts, Fjord, Fountaine Pajot, Hanse, Jeanneau, Lagoon, Pardo, Prestige, Nautic Swan, Rodman, Torqeedo, Sealine, Sesga, Dutch, Touron or Yamaha participate in a call to consolidate the room's commitment to sustainability, innovation and digitization as engines for the blue sector.

This dock will also concentrate the offer of sailing ships and a remarkable selection of equipment, accessories and nautical services on land that will shape the area 'Sea Boulevard'. In Marina Port Vell, a space that occupies the living room for the first time, and in the Pier de España, a large floating exhibition will be presented with the best selection of motor yachts and catamarans.

You can also see the 14 models that choose the best European Boat of the year: Beneteau Flyer 8 Sundeck, Jeanneau Cap Camarat 10.5 CC, Nuva M9 Open, Wellcraft 355, De Antonio D36 Open, Pardo GT 52, Fjord 53 XL, Bénéteau Swift Trawler 48, Eman E6, Soleil Grand 40, Oceanis Yacht 60, Excess 14 and Lagoon 51.

The event will be an annual key event to boost the business of a sector, which after two years of sustained growth has slowed down due to the current international situation. Thus, until August, a total of 4,925 recreational boats have been registered in Spain compared with 5,943 in the same period of 2021, a 17% decrease.

In order to promote commercial operations within the living room, a VIP Buyers program has been designed to attract more than 300 national and international buyers interested in acquiring vessels over 15 metres in length to the living room. The preparation of the celebration of the Copa América in Barcelona next 2024 will also be a protagonist. The Barcelona Nautical Capital Foundation (FBCN) together with the Port of Barcelona or the Port Olímpic will show during the living room the actions they are developing in the course of the dispute of this test in the Catalan capital. Thus, the FBCN will organize sea exits of its Barcelona World Race IMOCA 60 school ship while the Catalan Sailing Federation will have a divulging space to make known to large and small what is the sport and initiation sailing.

The offer will be complemented by the Fun Beach area, a sports equipment test area with access to the sea, and with the traditional Marina space, where workshops and activities will be held for the whole family and in which the Santa Eulàlia pailebote will be docked, which will take place the maritime façade of Barcelona.
