The Silk Road organized by the Royal Nautical Club of Valencia... is already sailing towards Eivissa, with a fleet that initially reached the 45 registered ships... but the weather conditions that were expected... have reduced the number to the 28 ships.

After more than an hour of waiting for the lack of wind... the Regatta Committee decided to move forward, looking outside for a small sustained streak of wind that would allow them to launch the test. Impossible. Only after two hours, about 1 p.m. the fleet of 28 ships to the nautical Es Nàutic in Eivissa with a soft breeze was reached...

At the close of the press release, the fleet has yet to overcome the equator of the test. After 1850 hours the Estupendu, a First 40.7 of Fernando Riera and the Nereu a Sun Odyssey 49 armed by Alexandre Momparler lead the fleet, followed closely by the Tao, Avatar and Panthalassa. The rest of the fleet is still very grouped in a stretched line and together.

These wind conditions provide for a slow journey to Eivissa, unless they improve the wind in the afternoon of today, after overcoming the equator of the channel with direct direction upon arrival at the Es Nàutic de Sant Antoni de Portmany.
