The crew formed by the Vigo Olympic medalist, Nico Rodríguez, and his Catalan partner Silvia Mas, sentenced the championship on Thursday to become the absolute winners of the event.

Behind, the final podium of the Olympic Week of Galicia remained as it was on Wednesday with the Portuguese of the C. We Do Sailing, Diogo Costa and Carolina João, in the second position and the crew formed by Beatriz Gago and Rodolfo Pires (Clube de Vela Viana do Castelo / Iate Clube Marina de Portimão) holding the third place.

In the youth division, Neus Ballester and the Galician Pablo García (Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita / Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo) signed on Thursday their best day with some 2-2-3-1 and became the champions of Spain sub-24, ending in the fourth position of the general behind the two teams of Portugal.

2022-10-05: To decide almost everything on the final day of Galician Olympic Week

Second day in the waters of Vilagarcía de Arousa for the fleet of 470. The Olympic Week of Galicia-Circuito COEV, a test that puts into play the national title of the class, crossed its equator on Wednesday with a very tight classification and with everything open for the final day. At the top of the table, Silvia Mas and Nico Rodríguez repeat in the leadership with the Portuguese Diogo Costa and Carolina João tightening only one point away.

Four sleeves were held in which the first three classified were again dominated by the four partial wins put into play. The first was for the tandem of the CN Arenal / RCN Vigo formed by Silvia and Nico, while the following two were taken by Diogo Costa and Carolina João del C. We Do Sailing and the fourth was for the Portuguese also Beatriz Gago and Rodolfo Pires (CV Viana do Castelo / Iate Clube Marina de Portimão).

With the three teams ending between the first three positions in all the tests of the day - with the exception of the fourth position of Gago and Pires in the penultimate manga - and the application of the discard that allows Costa and João to get rid of an off-line annotated on the first day, the provisional podium of the Olympic Week of Galicia is pressed to the maximum with the Catalan crew - Galician repeating in the first position with a total of 11 points, Costa and João in the second position with twelve points accumulated and the team of Gago and Pires in the third drawer with seventeen.

The two Portuguese crews for the national title and with Silvia and Nico already caressing the victory, the second and third place in the classification of the Spanish Championship are now disputed by Neus Ballester and the Galician Pablo García (Club Níutic Sa Ràpita / RCN Sanxenxo), which occupy the fourth position of the general, and Pablo Ruiz and Marta Peñarrubia (RCN Palma / RCR Alicante), which are quintos. Only three points separate both teams.

With these results, everything will therefore depend on what happens on Thursday with the holding of the latest tests of CTodo poampetonate. The first horn is scheduled for 11: 00 and the award, scheduled for 17: 30 at the Galego de Vela Centre, will be in charge of putting the final brooch to the meeting organized by the Royal Galician de Vela Federation.

Completed in the waters of the river of Arousa the first day of the Spanish Championship of 470, it is proof that it is part of the Olympic Week of Galicia-Circuito COEV under the organization of the Royal Federation Galician de Vela. With the dispute of the first four tests in the race field, the appointment revealed this Tuesday to the first provisional leaders and candidates for the national title.

First thing in the morning, it was all about a long day. The wind was slow to enter and the Regatas Committee announced at noon a deferral on the ground pending the best possible conditions for the first start.

Finally, with a wind of about six knots of a southwestern component, the fleet started the competition at the edge of 15: 30 hours with a first manga in which the crew formed by Silvia Mas and Nico Rodríguez (CN Arenal / RCN Vigo) sentenced a very adjusted partial triumph, and is that the Portuguese teams of Beatriz Gago / Rodolfo Pires (CV Viana do Castelo / BWI Portimão) and Diogo Costa / Carolina João (C. We do Sailing) tightened to the maximum until the second and third position respectively.

In the second trial they repeated victory Silvia and Nico, this time ahead of Gago and Pires in the second place and with Pablo Ruiz and Marta Peñarrubia (RCN Palma / RCR Alicante) in the third position. The third and fourth manga, however, had Portuguese dominion and it was Diogo Costa and Carolina João who took the cat to the water in both tests ahead of the Catalan-Galician tandem.

So things and waiting for the discards to come into play when the minimum of six completed tests are fulfilled, Silvia and Nico are positioned as the first leaders of the general with six points of advantage over Beatriz Gago and Rodolfo Pires, which are second, and eight over Diogo Costa and Carolina João, which occupy the third drawer of the provisional podium... tomorrow more than 12: 00.
