The president of the Lugo River Club and the Cannibal Galicia

The president of the Lugo River Club and the Cannibal Galicia

The natural environment in which the River Club is located, on the north bank of the Miño River at its passage through the capital of Lucense is very beautiful (at the foot of the impressive Roman factory bridge of the beginning of our era) and the authorities are obliged to their environmental conversion... what Mr Valedor does not seem to understand

Anton Reixa is an exceptional Galician, one of those musicians, poets, filmmakers, writers and even philosophers... who in the 1980s led the well-known Movida, who narrowed his ties with Professor Tierno's Madrid... caricaturing the Galician's feeling, as few.

It is wrong who from the outside enchases the Galaics... for we are always on the ladder... not knowing whether we go up or down and with a always depends by hand.

In this land as a rule... there are no right-wing people, no left-wing people, no conservatives, no proguesists, no monarchists, no republicists... there are Gallegos and Gallegos simply... is there a people as complex and simple as we are?

Whenever something like this happens in these areas... there is a warlord, a cacique in the good sense of the term, a head of ranks... who tells us that you don't know who we are... we are thousands and no lordship of Madrid as you are going to tell us what to do.

In the sport in general we have in Galicia numerous recent cases of clashes of warlords with the democratically elected regators.

Who does not remember José María Caneda the President of the Compostela and his permanent confrontation with all the politicians who had and for having... or the fights of Augusto César Lendeiro with Paco Vázquez for the Superdeby, or the most recent of the President of the Céleste Carlos Mouriño with Abel Caballero?.

In Lugo the club with the most social mass is not that of football, which competes in second division with just under six thousand associates... the most powerful is the River Club focused on the pyragüism and the social that almost triples those of the round ball: 14,000.

Its president, Tito Valedor, has a very controversial profile, for his decision-making and confrontations with politicians of all colors: Xunta, Concello and now... with the Hydrographic Confederation of the Miño. That is, the one who does not give him the reason (for sometimes wanting to do environmental lace performances, very questionable), is an enemy or enemy of Lugo, of Piragüism, of its partners and of the world...

The real fuss worthy of the most cannibal Galicia of the Resentidos, is reaching excessive levels: this character Tito Valedor, has had the courage to threaten the mayor of Lugo, socialist her Lara Méndez, to organize a scandal when the next municipal elections are near, but he is on his side to ask for the head of José Antonio Quiroga of the Hydrographic Confederation.

The Fluvial that has been the cradle of the first Spanish Olympics of the Pyragüism... then they have been independent from the rowing, case of Ramos Missioné (silver in Montreal and bronze in Moscow), as well as Angel Villar (Chillares) and Pedro Cuesta, who were Olympic in Mexico... is living a convulsive moment, simply by the application of the cannibal concept, metaphorically speaking.

It is not welcome that actions are requested on the bank of the Miño... whether they are in accordance with law, as well as not adjusted or of dubious legislative amparo, presuming of social power or even in the wake of actions, type of demonstrations or political deterioration.

The actions must be analyzed by the technicians, studied impartially (as I do not doubt that José Antonio Quiroga and his team of the Confederation will be doing, or the Xunta de Galicia has done so on the theme of the river beach adjacent to the Club in the past)... trying to convince those who oppose, with arguments that are right and not cannibal.

The rest, Mr President Tito Valedor, is neither democratic nor worthy of a historic city as Lugo is, nor of course of a club like the river. If you are so angry with the world, relax and above all dignify your position, because you have no doubt that your behavior fits in those unforgettable letters of "fai un do carallo, Galicia cannibal," and leave the mayor, the Galician government and the technicians of the Miño Hydrographic Confederation, who without any doubt want the best for the city of Lugo, and for the natural environment of Miño.
