The BullBox, by Luis Noguera in class I, the University of Oviedo - Grupo Isastur, by Roberto Álvarez Bucetas in class II and the Leonidas, by Juan Manuel Quevedo in class III, winners of the Autumn Trophy of Cruises of the Real Club Astur de Regatas.

In light sailing Guillermo Marqués and Jorge Fernández in Snipe, Marta Simal in Optimist, Rodrigo Llanes and Diego Pérez in RS Feva, Gonzalo Jaudenos in ILCA 4 and Hugo Ozalla in ILCA 6 were the winners in their respective classes.

Emotion to the end in class I, where the BullBox, by Luis Noguera, was imposed with authority on the last cane of 9.20 miles away, investing a time of one hour, thirty-five minutes and fifty-five seconds. With this result he got the Trophy tied to points with the second classified, the GS1, by Fernando Alonso, second in the test. The third position in the day and later in the general classification was obtained by the Taxus Medio Ambiente, by Alfredo Flórez.

In class II, the University of Oviedo - Grupo Isastur, by Roberto Álvarez Bucetas was made with the Trophy, after winning in three of the four trials disputed. In the second place, Luis Llanos was placed in the Jarr, followed by the Mambo, by José Enrique García, second in the closing race.

The Leonidas, by Juan Manuel Quevedo was the most regular ship in Class III, with a first and two third parties to the top of the drawer. The Ita II, of Pedro Guerra tied to points with the Leonidas ended in the second position of the table. For his pate, El Espumeru, by Alberto Tablón winning in the last manga, closed the honours.

On Sunday, they sailed the Snipes, which they carried out two sleeves. The couple formed by Guillermo Marqués and Jorge Fernández with two third parties in the day were made with the Trophy, thanks to their participation in all the contested races. Therefore, once again regularity has been a key factor in achieving triumph. The second position in the general was for José Luis de la Rubia and Pedro López, followed by José Palacio and Paloma Hernández. On this last day Carlos Ordoñez and Leticia Pelayo were the winners of the two sleeves.

In the Optimist class, after the two sleeves in the Trophy, the triumph was for Marta Simal, with two first in his locker, as did Gonzalo Jaudenos in ILCA 4 winner in the two races held. Hugo Ozalla was imposed on ILCA 6, with a fifth and a first, lying that, in RS Feva, Rodrigo Llanes and Diego Pérez with a first and a second were the best in their class.

In light sail Marta Simal, in Optimist, Rodrigo Llanes and Diego Pérez in RS Feva, Gonzalo Jaudenos in ILCA 4, Hugo Ozalla in ILCA 6 and Guillermo Marqués and Jorge Fernández in Snipe were the winners in their respective classes.

In class I, the BullBox, by Luis Noguera the fastest in the fleet, invested 2 hours, 37 minutes and 3 seconds to complete the 9-mile tour. So, agonic race where only the BullBox and the GS1, by Fernando Alonso managed to complete the test in time.

With these results and in the absence of a sleeve to complete the Trophy, the GS1 leads the general classification, followed by the BullBox and the Taxus MedioAmbiente, by Alfredo Flórez.

For its part the University of Oviedo - Grupo Isastur was the only ship in class II, to finish the manga, and is the undisputed leader in the class with two wins and a second in its locker. The second place in the general is for the Jarr, of Luis Llano followed by the Mambo, of José Enrique García.

Sunday was the turn for the light candle that after two days, the Trophy began and ended, except for the Snipe class with an appointment pending for November 20.

In Optimist, Marta Simal with two first was the best in her class, the second position was obtained by Alejandro Fernández followed by Alma Pérez. Rodrigo Llanes and Diego Pérez were the first in RS Feva, Aida Marqués and Carlos Fernández finished second and Miguel Ribera and Manuel Oliveira third.

Gonzalo Jaudenos also won two first among the ILCA 4, followed by Mateo Fernández and Covadonga Fernández. While in ILVA 6, the triumph was for Hugo Ozalla, Fernando Alonso was second tied to points with Ozalla, closing the podium posts, Jesus Manuel Martínez.

The Snipe class is headed by Guillermo Marqués and Jorge Fernández in the second square, José Luis de la Rubia and Pedro López, followed by Hernán and Diego Jiménez.

On Saturday, the second race of the Autumn Trophy of Cruises was held in Gijón Bay, under a track of 1.2 miles away by section. Class I and II made 8 sections with a total of 9.6 miles travelled, while Class III completed six.

In class I, Fernando Alonso on board the GS1 repeats the triumph achieved in the first manga and enforces the leadership, in the absence of two races to be held in November. For its part, the Taxus Medio Ambiente, by Alfredo Flórez with the second position on the day goes up to the second place in the general. The Kaiser of Alvaro Alegría was third in the test, while the Bullbox of Luis Noguera ended in fourth place, closing the honours on the table.

The Jarr, by Luis Llano was the fastest in class II, with this victory being placed at the head of the group's general classification, followed by the University of Oviedo- Grupo Isastur, by Roberto Álvarez Bucetas, tied to points with Llano in the class general. The Mambo, by José Enrique García ended in third position.

In class III, the first victory in the Trophy for the Espumeru, by Alberto Tablón, followed by Ita II, Pedro Guerra and Leonidas, by Juan Manuel Quevedo. The general classification is this group is led by the Leonidas, the second position is for the Ita II to a point of the first, while the Espumeru is third.

On Sunday the day of the Autumn Trophy of Snipe could not be held due to the adverse weather conditions that prevented the sea.

After the cancellation last week, for bad time, of the first day, this Saturday finally started in the waters of Gijón Bay, the Fall of Cruises Trophy. A barlovento-sotavento tour of 9.22 miles was carried out for classes I and II and 7.44 miles for the ships of group III. The wind blew from the variable Northwest, the test started with 12 knots of intensity, would go down to 4 knots in the middle of the test, to climb up to 22 at the end of the tour.

The class I, could not be more disputed, the GS1, by Fernando Alonso, won for just a second in time compensated to the Bullbox, Luis Noguera and is the first leader of the Trophy, with four sleeves yet to be fought. The third position was obtained, the Taxus Medio Ambiente, by Alfredo Flórez.

In class II, the University of Oviedo- Grupo Isastur, by Roberto Álvarez- Bocetas victor of the Trophy in its class in the last edition, was the fastest of its group, followed by the Jarr, by Luis Llano, a minute and forty-nine seconds from the student ship. The third square of the day was for the Andantino - Grintec, by Raúl Menéndez.

The Leonidas, by Juan Manuel Quevedo, was the best in class III, and therefore leads the classification table of the class of the ships of less length. The second, very meritorious position was obtained by the Pria, by Hernán del Frade. For its part, the Ita II of Pedro Guerra ended in third position.

2022-09-15: The Throphy of Autumn of Light and Heavy Sailing begins in Gijon

The Autumn of Cruises Trophy organized by the Royal Astur Regatta Club of Gijón begins on Saturday, September 17, Sunday, the Light Sails will do the same.

On Saturday at one o'clock in the afternoon... will be given in the waters of San Lorenzo Bay, the signal of attention to the first manga of the Autumn Trophy of Cruises.

The races will be held on alternate weekends and will end on Saturday, November 19, after six days of competition, therefore the regularity in the field of races will be decisive in the classification. In the Trophy will take part the bulk of the Gijonese fleet divided into three classes: Cruise I, II and III.

Sunday at 12: 30 in the morning... will be the turn for the Light Sails, who will play 2 sleeves per day, in five days of competition, distributed throughout the fall.
