The VI Regata Punta Este, Trofeo Punta Este 2022 already has new champions... the exit in the RCR of Cartagena, with 31 ships on the line, has taken place at 11.25 hours launching the joint fleet while, in the RCN of Torrevieja, with 42 ships registered, the committee has launched the fleet at 11.40 hours for the fleet of group A.

They have been followed by the rest, group B and C respectively. The favorites have not failed and have quickly taken over the respective fleets and in their categories, case of the Maverta, Fandango 300, Greek, Sopu Tres or Tucana I from Torrevieja or Nemox-Bnfix, HMS Surprise, Kawan, Cota Zero from Cartagena, as noted in the pre-race information.

Maverta was the first to meet the 21.1 nautical miles, with arrival at 3.23 p.m., investing 3h. 13 '23. "After the Rodman 42 of Pedro Gil was the ship of Javier Sabiote: Fandango to arrive, with just 10 minutes of difference, while Sopu Tres of Jorma Nuutinen, made them 28 minutes more than the ship of Gil.Moti, for its part, was the first of Group B (Northern Version) to take the arrival (15.31 hours), while the Dufour 34 Tamoa did it in the C, stopping the time at 3.55 hours and a 1 minute the J80 Torpedo Jamonero was in.

As for the South Version, Kawan has been the fastest. The first 40.7 of Andrés Guilamot arrived at Capo de Palos at 1449 hours, marking a time of 3h. 24 '11 "to complete the 18.4 miles. With just 1 minute difference, the X35 Nemox took the arrival and the HMS Surprise was 6. The minimum real-time difference has also been reflected in Group C, with Saleroso 2.0 and Zalata. The first was at 3.24 p.m. and the second was at 3.25 p.m. Tentontu was the third: 15.34 hours.

After obtaining the compensated times the podiums are closed with Maverta, Fandango 300 and Greek in ORC A; Moti, Mevilla-Jumbruck and Nayade in ORC B and Tucana I, Daikoku and Inidigo in ORC, in terms of the North Version. In the South Version, Nemox-Bmfix, HMS Surprise and Kawan make up the first three seats in ORC A-B, while Zalata, Saleroso 2.0 and Siwa complete the podium in ORC C.

Torrevieja, stage and setting for the VI Regata Camino del Cruz, Trophy Punta Este

Torrevieja has been the city and framework for the presentation in that edition of the Regata Camino de la Cruz, Trofeo Punta Este, which reaches its sixth anniversary.

The Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja, one of the two headquarters that will launch the race next Saturday, next to the Real Club de Regatas de Cartagena, has been the stage of the official setting of the race, which has already exceeded all expectations by closing the registration with 74 ships.

The sixth edition of the Regata Camino de la Cruz, Trofeo Punta Este establishes a new brand, in terms of the number of ships registered when reaching the number of 73 units on the two exits: Version North - Torrevieja, with 41 ships, and Version South - Cartagena, with 32 units.

Both the RCN of Torrevieja and the RCR of Cartagena, together with the organization, have turned in this race to achieve the objective of bringing together an important fleet, not only in terms of number but in particular the quality and level of the ships, as is now reflected in the list of registered ships.

Boats like the Maverta, Nemox-BNFIX, Fandango 300, Pinto III, Zalata, Tucana I, Greek, HMS Surprise, among others, bring that level and quality of the race, but they are not the only ones that give the 'Punta Este' those values. All of them have options, all contribute a plus to the race, thanks to the excellent results and palmares that treasure in the most relevant races at the local level, both in those held in the Region and those important in the south of the Community: Santa Pola, Torrevieja, Alicante, mainly.

The clubs of Cartagena and Torrevieja will be the ports of departure of the race: South and North Version for the cruise ORC and ORC Promotion... in this edition and maintaining that coastal test that after being launched the fleet will put rumba to the island Grosa to later emphasize in the Nautico Villa de San Pedro.
