Semi-rigid Vanguard TX-750D custom-made for Maritime Salvation designed and fully custom-made, the new Vanguard TX-750D from Maritime Salvation have specific elements for rescue work in the most demanding sea conditions. The LS Europe, LS Hidra, LS Caronte and LS Ariel are equipped with 350 cv of power, more than 40 knots and can navigate from Barcelona to Gibraltar without refueling at a planning speed. The fleet of Salvamento Marítimo has four new semi-rigid Vanguard for its division of Red Cross. In response to the demanding specifications established by the public body, the shipyard of the international group Vanguard Marine took as its basis the TX-750D model of its offshore series, vessels of 7.5 meters length with specific features for navigation in open waters. Its deep and sustained V military design helmet from bow to stern ensures maximum stability in hard sea conditions, and on this occasion was combined with hybrid D floats, a solution consisting of closed cell foam with inflatable core to optimize the habitability (it gains half a metre of inner sleeve), robustness, safety and maintenance while maintaining the impact absorption capacity of the floater. The lining is made of polyurethane Akron, which offers exceptional levels of abrasion resistance, puncture and exposure to hydrocarbons. The result is a true sea apron. The double motorization offers 350 cv, speeds above 40 knots and extended self-sustainment Double motorization out-of-board on a mechanical level, the new Vanguard TX-750D of Maritime Salvation provide double motorization Mercury six-cylinder V and 175 cv to offer a combined power of 350 cv combined with a Power Lift system that helps to optimize the performance of the motor units depending on the state of the sea and the desired behavior. The sea tests carried out in the river of Vigo demonstrated the extraordinary performance of the ships, capable of slowly exceeding 40 knots, with a planning speed of 20 knots. Associated with two fuel tanks that total 540 litres, they guarantee a sufficient autonomy to navigate from Barcelona to Gibraltar at unrefueled planning speed. Custom-made equipment The Vanguard TX-750D of Maritime Rescue have specific elements for rescue work. Among the equipment incorporated in a artisanal way and directly in the production line of the shipyard is the completely removable recovery door, an element specifically designed for the rescue of people at sea that leaves the deck of the boat at sea level with direct access. The complete navigation and communication endowment includes radiobaliza, double independent VHF, Navtex, AIS and 12-inch multifunction screen. The four semi-rigid incorporate self-winding system, an ingenious device mounted on the navigation arc that returns the boat to its original position in the event of a fully automatic roll-over. The requirements of habitability and versatility set out in the specification required bold solutions from the Vanguard design team. The deck is equipped with two rows of longitudinal lanes that allow different seats or structures to be fixed in different positions quickly and easily depending on the desired configuration for each use. At the time of delivery, the Vanguard TX-750D incorporated four Ullman jockey seats with suspension system. The new LS Europe, LS Hidra, LS Caronte and LS Ariel are added to LS Elara and LS Cilene, TXA-750D models with aluminium hull that have been operating since 2021 at the bases of Red Cross in Tazacorte (La Palma) and Castellon respectively. All vessels of the international group Vanguard Marine are manufactured according to the quality control system ISO 9001: 2015 certified by LRQA. Vanguard vessels and all their components are manufactured in the European Union. The Vanguard Marine team has been designing and manufacturing semi-rigid since 1984.
