The Club Cabanas KDM of Ferrolterra was declared the absolute winner of the International Vigo Trophy of Kayak de Mar, the second event of the Abanca Week; it was held at the ETEA Track at the Rande in the middle of Vigo, under the organization of the Club de Piragüismo Olívico and the Club Marítimo de Vigo, with the support of the Galician Federation and the Real Federación Española de Piragüismo.

The next event of the Abanca Week for the next weekend, to be held on the Miño River between the border towns of Valença de Minho and Tui, of a nautical specialty as new as spectacular as it depends on the Spanish Federation of Nautical Skiing... the wakesurf, in which will compete for the Hispanic-Lusitano Championship, the Iberian Championship.

About two hundred palists from the cadet to master categories competed in the excellent ETEA Track, representing twenty clubs. Among the participants the most representative of the Atlantic zone, case of those who occupied the podium, or the Ria de Aldán, cradle of legendary sportsmen... the Naval of Pontevedra, Breogan of O Grove, Society of Sports As Xubias, Piragüismo Aldám, Club As Torres-Romeria Vikinga or Piragüismo Rianxo... as well as the three Olivico Viguese, Bouzas and Kayak Vigo; for giving examples.

The unique test with a track distance of 10 km, with exit from the beach of the ETEA, heading to the Beacon of Moaña towards the north, from there to that of Domaio very close to the legendary Bridge of Rande, and hence the reverse route. The first exit for the senior, master and youth at 11: 00 a.m., and the second and half hours later with half of length (five thousand metres) for the younger. To emphasize that there was an independent exit for the SUP (paleo) whose address is the dispute its tutelage in these times, between the federations of piragüism and surfing.

In the senior categories girls, the victory in K1 for Elena Pena del Kayak Vigo; in K2 for María Barros and Gaila Clavo del Bouzas Caiac. In boys the best in K1 was Pedro Reguera de Aldán (Galdón)... and in mixed K2 Mateo Ópez- María Rodríguez of Club Cabanas KDM were the ones who won.

In youth, Ester Liñares del Náutico de Cambre was the winner in K1 while Hugo Otero del Olívico took the gold.

In the absolute team classification the victory was in the Cabanas Club, in Ferrolterra, with a total of 1355 points... that left the other two podium places for two pontevedreses clubs: the Cobres Nautic with 724 points and the Piragüismo Club Cambados with 690. After them the Kayak Vigo, Bouzas Caiac, Club de Mar Ria de Aldán-Gandon SA, Club Marítimo Tambo de Marín, Club de Piragüismo Olívico, Club Deportivo Náutico de Miño, completing the top- ten the Club Náutico de Cambre.
