The Royal Spanish Federation of Piragüismo, the Faculty of Education and Sport Sciences of the University of Vigo, in collaboration with the Xeral Secretariat for the Sport of the Xunta of Galicia, the Galician Federation of Piragüismo, the International Federation of Piragüismo and the City of Pontevedra, are responsible for the organization of the eighth edition of the International Congress of Piragüismo Trainers in Aguas Quietas and the second International Congress of Slalom and the first of the International Congress of Kayak with the main purpose of increasing the preparation of the technicians and professionals that are dedicated to the next 28 days of October,... and of the next 30 days of this one will be held in the.

As rapporteurs and given the expertise and preparation required to transmit this information, professionals with high qualifications and preparation are needed; for this we will have well-known technicians at the national and international levels, with the advice and support of the International Canoe Federation. Similarly, as in previous editions, in the Communications section, we hope to capture the interest and count on the contributions of coaches and researchers who want to present their experiences and the results of their research.

General objectives
Training the technicians of the Piragüismo clubs.
Training students / students in physical and sports sciences.
Provide pyragüism coaches with days to serve as a link for the dissemination of scientific and sports knowledge, as well as to provide attendees with an update on the technical and tactical advances that have appeared in pyragüism in the Paris JJ.OO of 2024.

Specific objectives
Analyse the technical aspects of the finalists in the different modes and vessels of Aguas Quietillas and Slalom of the finals of the JJ.OO of Paris 2024.
Gather the best coaches in Spain, Europe, Asians and Latin America to make known the different ways of working both tactic and technical in Piragüism.
To train the club technicians as well as students who study the degree in physical activity and sports sciences.
To enhance the relations between the university academic environment and the working environment in national teams and piragüism clubs.

It is also intended, given the character and content that will be largely about the JJ.OO. of Paris 2024 and to value the main objectives of the Spanish Olympic Committee
Ensure the acquisition, preservation, description and dissemination of Olympic heritage.
Promote and facilitate access to written and audiovisual Olympic collections.
Provide research, analysis and content creation services.
Promote academic activities related to Olympism and stimulate synergies and collaboration between Olympic study centres and researchers. • To encourage and promote collaboration with the Olympic Movement to ensure that the global Olympic heritage is preserved and made available to everyone.
