The Hawaiian and Portuguese are proclaimed champions in the wave of El Altillo in Moya, while the titles of the sub18 categories remain in Spain with the Asturian Alfonso Suárez and the Canary Islands Ginger Caim... Canarias is kept with the titles of the most veterans, highlighting the performance of the grancanaries Jorge Juan Cabrera in the category Kahuna and Roberto Lorenzo in Master
The International Longboard Oleaje 2022 Festival in Gran Canaria has already distributed twelve thousand euros in cash prizes in an equal way between the absolute female category and the open male category, prizes that have gone for Hawaii with Dominique Miller and for Portugal with Antonio Dantas, after being crowned on the beach of El Altillo, in the municipality of the Villa de Moya.
The male final left a great deal of maneuvers, among the favorites the Portuguese Antonio Dantas and Joao Dantas, together with the Spanish duo formed by Nicolás García and José Luis Berasaluce, who gave the attendees a great repertoire of longboard. Among them, he took the title Antonio Dantas.
In the female category, the national level was very high. However, despite the great role of the Spanish Carlota Jáuregui and Yumey González, it was the Hawaiian Dominique Miller who won the victory, followed by the Portuguese Raquel Amaral, leaving the Spanish women the third and fourth place. For Miller, the Canary Islands are very much reminded of their place of origin, in fact, they had already been taking waves in the capital city.
Among the youngest, the show comes from Fuerteventura by the young majorera of Italian-Chinese origin, Ginger Caimi, who was found in El Altillo.
