The award of the competition will be held on Sunday 4 September at 6: 30 p.m. in Monte Real, and one day before, on Saturday 3 September at 8: 00 p.m., that same location will host the gala of the National Vela Terras Guda Awards, which for 30 years have recognized the best athletes and teams of the Spanish nautical panorama (Photo Antana)

A new edition of the Prince of Asturias Trophy, which was born in 1986 by the hands of the Baion Club and the Military Naval School, was officially presented at the Crab Battery in the fortress of Monte Boi... at Mount Real Club de Yates de Baiona.

In line of departure will be 80 ships at least, that between September 2 and 4, they compete in which will be the thirty-seventh edition... with the philosophy that governs in these complicated years for heavy sailing in Atlantic waters... that is only to encourage participation based on admitting all and generating a multitude of world winners...

The different categories will bear names of companies or institutions: ABANCA ORC 1, Volvo Autesa ORC 2, Oils April ORC 3, Martin Miller ORC 4, Gadis ORC 5, Vanguard OPEN, Solventis J80 and Managing Ladies Cup), that of the J80 monotypes will be the largest, with more than 30 units arrived from different points in Spain.

On Friday the competition will start at 3: 00 in the afternoon for the ORC cruises and half an hour later those of J80 and the girls with the Figaros of the School of Vela del Monte Real... on Saturday and Sunday all the sarao will begin without exception at 12: 00 in the morning.

On this occasion the winner of the prestigious Transat Jacques Vabre, the cantabre Pablo Santurde (Best Sailor), the world champions María Perelló and Marta Cardona (Best Light Sailing Team), the Soho Caixabank Theatre, armed by the Malagasy Javier Banderas and six times the winner of the King's Cup (Best Boat), the Santanderino José María Torcida for its victories in the Spanish and European Championships of J70 (Regatista of the year), the initiative... We want to make history... led by the alicantina Nuria Sánchez (Best Women's Project); and the water outreach program Atando Cabos (Mariano Aguado Communication Prize).
