The children's sailing event was held between 23 and 27 August at the emblematic Lago de Ledro in Italy with the team of the Comunitat de Valenciana formed by Pedro Adam, Elena Pérez, Marta Ferrando and Eduardo Reyes

The Optimist of the Valencia Community, representing Spain, hangs the bronze medal in the European Team Racing that has been held these days in Ledro Lake.

The team of the Community, which, after winning the National Team in early July in El Puerto de Santa Maria, achieved the ticket for the international meeting, has been formed Pedro Adam (CN Santa Pola), Elena Pérez (CN Jávea), Marta Ferrando and Eduardo Reyes, both of the RCN of Valencia, under the orders of Fernando Puig.

A metal that could have had another color, but the wind conditions in Ledro were not the best, not only for Spain but for all the teams. The national team, made up of four community regatists, was able to close the first round Robin (series of finds - all against all) with good results and sensations of going to more.

In the second Round Robin, in which the 8 best teams were already classified, of the 16 that started the competition, the wind began to show its worst face, leaving the fleet unable to compete in groups C and D, so the committee chose to give valid results to those obtained in the Round Robin 1, as it could not complete and close the series of meetings.

With the results obtained in the first series of meetings Italy was made with gold, while Poland hung silver and Spain bronze. Spain, represented by the team of the Federation of Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana, achieved in that first delivery in Ledro 11 triumphs, losing only 4 meetings, in front of Italy, Poland, Great Britain and Finland. In their triumphs they highlight those achieved earlier powerful rivals, case of Germany, Switzerland, Greece or the always complicated and very prepared for the Italian appointment as is Turkey, which concluded fourth on the podium.
