Organized by the Real Club Astur de Regatas, during the weekend took place in the Bay of San Lorenzo, the XI Trophy Villa of Gijón de Vela Ligera. The 6 sleeves were held, 3 per day, in a race camp where about 100 boats and more than 100 regatists were appointed.

In Optimist, the gijoness of the Real Club Astur de Regatas, Marta Simal rose with the triumph after winning in 2 sleeves and finishing second two other tests. The second position was obtained by the Galician, Nora Nieto of the Real Club Nautico de la Coruña, the third square was for Pedro Núñez, also from the Nautico de Coruña.

The Donostiarra, of the Royal Nautical Club of San Sebastián, Paul Emezabal was the best among the ILCA 6, with two wins and three seconds in his locker. The regatta field of Gijón Bay will host regatists from Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, Basque Country, Extremadura and the Canary Islands.
