All the Spanish candle with the Nautico de Palma in the renewal of its concession

The presidents of the club associations and the sailing federations join with their signature the campaign to support the Real Club Nautico de Palma
The nautical clubs of Spain and the national federations and sailing balloting have today shown their unconditional support to the Royal Nautical Club of Palma in view of the possibility of refusing to extend its concession period, which expires on December 31.
Miquel Suñer, president of the Spanish Confederation of Nautical Clubs Associations, and Antoni Estades, president of the Association of Nautical Clubs of the Balearic Islands, have now come to the facilities of the Real Nautical Club of Palma, where the four-year edition of the King's Cup is held, to mark their heading in the book of support for the historic nautical entity, founded in 1948.
The president of the Balear de Vela Federation, Cati Darder, and the president of the Real Federación Española de Vela, Javier Sanz, have also wanted to record their support for the club.
They have all agreed to state that the Royal Nautical Club of Palma is one of the most important and prestigious institutions of its kind in the world and have described it as "incredible" that, despite its "undoubted social contribution through the promotion of sport," it can be dispossessed of its facilities by a formal issue in which different legal bodies have failed to agree.
In 2015 the Nautico de Palma presented a project to extend its concession for a period of 20 years... the Harbour Authority of the Balearic Islands has not yet responded to the request.
Since then, reports in favour of the application of the club (legal services of State Ports) and other opponents (State Attorney and Council of State) have been incorporated into the file... at this time it has also transcended a sentence of a similar case that endorses the theses of the Royal Nautical Club of Palma
Miquel Suñer, on behalf of CEACNA, described the situation generated by the various opinions as "incredible" and added: "There is nothing to be recognized or demonstrated here. The facts are on the table and in the middle of the sea. It is not welcome that the work of the Nautico de Palma is not respected. What I'm most afraid is that this will spread. The nautical clubs of Spain are all going to work one."
The president of the Royal Spanish Federation of Vela, Javier Sanz, recognized that the problem "is complicated" and that the unity of all clubs and sports federations will be necessary to redrive the situation.
Cati Darder, president of the Balear candle, said that the fact that the social and sports utility of the Real Club Nautico de Palma is being questioned deserves "a reflection, even as a society."
"The RCNP is the best club in the Mediterranean and one of the best in the world, hosting many international events that place us on the world map, both in the sport of the elite and in the image of the Balearic Islands," the president of the FBV added.
Toni Estades, president of the ACNB, spoke of "dispurpose" and regretted that "a specific legal issue may challenge the long history of this club."
RCNP President Emerico Fuster thanked the support of the club group and the federations, and called for unity in the face of a situation that today affects the RCNP but which in the future can compromise other clubs: "We all have to be united, and we are in fact, in support of the sailing sport. In the RCNP we have been a reference for 78 years and we have to continue to be a reference. It would make no sense for this entity to disappear."
