Nautica Digital Europe Sports Highlights Sailing

The event, chaired by the comandoro of the Portuguese club Carlos Andrades, was attended by his counterpart in the nautical grancanary Juan R. Romay and the frigate captain Pedro San Emeterio

Today took place in the Naval Clube do Funchal, the presentation of the XXII edition of the International Canarian Regata-Madeira for the Cruises class, which will take place from 6 to 11 September, where the Royal Nautical Club of Gran Canaria is a collaborator.

The International Canarian Regata-Funchal is one of the oldest nautical events that has been joining since 1978, these two Atlantic archipelagos. In this edition, boats with an ORC 1 and 2 certificate of measurement and also Open can be registered, making this competition more attractive to sailing fans, who do not regularly regate. As a novelty, the comandoro Carlos Andrades announced the possibility of participating in the individual or double categories.

A fleet close to 20 ships is expected for this journey of approximately 290 nautical miles. The ships will be equipped with a GPS Global Position System.

The nautical grancanary, collaborator of this sports meeting for the Cruises class, will host the acts of welcome, meeting of patterns and technical coordination of the exit.
