2022-07-22: Gran Canaria Air Battle: the kitesurf show on Vargas beach

The conditions on Vargas's Grancan beach have been so good that they allowed to make sleeves for literally all day long, advancing the names of the finalists in the Bir Air (high jumps) and Waves of the Spanish Championship of Kiteboarding and the Canary Islands (including Strapness Freestyle)
After the first qualifying sleeves, the fourth edition of the Gran Canaria Air Battle has brought a lot of show to Vargas Beach during the competition in the Big Air (high jumps) and Olas categories, where nearly a hundred riders from all over Spain and other countries of the world compete for the Spanish Kiteboarding and Canary Championship (including the Strapness Freestyle class).
The wind rachas of between 35 and 40 knots have allowed to go out into the water from very early and to see the Riders fly very high, especially the young Tierfeño Leonardo Casati (of Italian origin), who has surprised to overcome the Alicantino Carlos Aldaravi, known especially for the height and duration of his jumps, even to fly for a minute on the beach of Tarifa, record he will try to beat in Vargas.
In the female mode of Big Air, the title will fall in Fuerteventura, among the majoreras Alexandra Torres (who play to revalidate the title achieved in 2021) or Julia Castro, one of the favorite Riders that has been reincorporated after a shoulder injury to compete in almost all categories, including those of Wing Fire, in which there is hardly any female representation.
Of the category Olas, the final has been held between the Tineer Lorenzo Casati and the grancanary Victor Gil... Casati not only reached the final of Big Air and Waves nationally, but also had a high performance in the category Strapness Freestyle, reaching the final against the Andalusian Beltran Eugi. The fight for the third and fourth place has been held between Noah Nicolas and Jeremy Burando.
