A lot of atmosphere facing the King's Cup... the ciphers that will be reached speak for themselves

A few days from the 40th Copa del Rey Mapfre with the organization of the Real Club Náutico de Palma, in which 111 teams from 18 countries will compete, over six days in the field of regatas of the bay of Palma... the beginning of the first August.

The fleet is divided to almost equal parts between five classes of monotypes, which sail in real time, and four classes that maintain the tradition of competition in compensated time: BMW ORC 1, 2, 3 and 4.

In group 1, which brings together those of the largest length, the subchampion of the last edition will not miss, the Argentine From Now On of Fernando Chaín, as well as the Aifos 500 of the Spanish Navy, in which he competes usually S.M. King Philip VI and that he stayed just three points from the podium last year.

The Star Damm Sailing Team will again participate in the King's Cup regatta; after being proclaimed champions in 2018 and 2019, the crew formed by Andalusians, canaries and Catalans will fight to recover the cup they could not get last year... There will be the title defender in BMW ORC 2. The Soho Caixabank Theatre by Javier Banderas returns to try to repeat the great results that led him to rise with the trophy ahead of the Valencian M8, which also appears among the list of registered.

Among the smaller units that compete in groups 3 and 4, for its part, the presence of teams such as the Tanit 4 Medilevel of the shipowner María José Vila and with Nacho Campos to the cane and the Italian Scugniza de Enzo de Blasio.

Of the five single-type divisions that will compete in real time, three of them will compete under the signature of the prestigious Finnish shipyard Nauthor's Swan. The ClubSwan fleet joined the Mapfre King's Cup five years ago with ClubSwan 50 and ClubSwan 42, and this year they return to Palma's quote along with ClubSwan 36, which premiered in the last edition. There will be two of the three winning teams in 2021: the German Earlybird of Hendrik Brandis in ClubSwan 50 and the Italian G Spot of Giangianlike Serena in ClubSwan 36. The three divisions will certainly be most competitive.

For their part, both in the Herbalife J70 classes and in Mallorca Sotheby's Women's Cup, the two title advocates, the Let it be by Marcelo Baltzer in J70 with Juan Calvo at the command level and the Dorsia Covirán of Nuria Sánchez and patrolled by Natalia Vía- Dufresne in the exclusively female class, are also favorites.

The ClubSwan competition program covers a maximum of 11 tests between Monday August 1 and Saturday day 6, while the fleet of Herbalife J70 and Mallorca Sotheby's Women's Cup can complete up to 14 sleeves starting on Tuesday 2.
