Super Series Puerto Portals Quantum Racing, the rival to beat

After two acts in the Atlantic... in May in the Galician Baiona and in June in the Portuguese Cascais, the 52 Super Series return to the Mediterranean to compete for the seventh consecutive edition in Puerto Portals.. the American Quantum Racing comes as a rival to beat and premiere its crown of world champion 2022, but the bay of Palma is the talisman race field for several of its most direct rivals... the heat wave in Mallorca is announced as possible key factor
The Port Portals 52 Super Series Sailing Week will be held from July 21 to July 26 in an essential seat of the circuit since its first visit in 2015... after an exciting season start in Atlantic waters... with an extraordinary TP52 debut in Baiona in May and a dramatic world class in Cascais in June... the fleet of nine ships of six countries landed in Palma Bay for a new five-day race.
The American Quantum Racing arrives in Puerto Portals as a solid leader of the season after imposing itself in the first two events of the year, achieving its fourth title as world champion of TP52 and accumulating 14 points of advantage over its immediate pursuit in the championship provisional.
But something changes on board the American team on this return to a headquarters where it has not won since 2018: this time you will not be able to count on your shipowner and tymonel Doug DeVos, who will participate on the same dates in the Chicago- Mac race as every year, giving the cane of your TP52 to Terry Hutchinson, the team's usual tactic. This change implies that the team's usual strategist, the Argentine Olympic bronze Lucas Calabrese, will act as a tactical with the navigator Michele Ivaldi.
