Spain, best country in the world in youth sailing

Spain has been recognized as the best youth sailing country in the world thanks to the results of the regatists participating in the Youth Sailing World Championship organized by the international sailing federation in The Hague. The national athletes have stood out with several top 10, a gold (Perelló / Cardona in 420), a silver (the García de la Casa brothers in Nacra 15) and a bronze (Nacho Baltasar in iQFoil).
Xisco Gil, technical director of the Royal Spanish Federation of Vela has emphasized that "the Nations Trophy won by Spain is the reflection of the work done throughout the season." The head of the national sail has also pointed out that "this prize is a recognition of the effort made every day by nautical clubs and territorial federations, fundamental pillars for the development of the sailing in our country."
The Maria Perelló and Marta Cardona baleares have been made with the gold medal in 420 female forcefully. They have four partial wins, a second and a third, in addition to a sixth in the last sleeve in which they already had gold, after seven races.
The silver medal of the Nacra 17 has been for the Catalans Daniel and Nora García de la Casa. The Spanish dupla has at all times been a candidate for victory, although they have finally remained a single point in the first podium drawer.
In male iQFoil, the Mallorcan Nacho Baltasar has won the bronze of its category with a last day in which it has shown its best version to secure the medal. Finally, Baltasar has closed its participation in the youth world with five partial wins in eleven tests.
The values Mateo and Simon Codoñer have ended in the fourth position of the male 29er, tied to points with the classified third parties. A tie that has finally been decanted in favour of the New Zealand crew of Lee and Menzius by reviewing the number of first, in which they were tied, and the number of second partial posts, in which the latter had one more.
Also in fourth position, and two points from the podium, the baleares Marc Mesquida and Ramón Jaume have finished in 420 male. The Majorcan team has managed to enter all the magnas among the top ten and even has two partial wins.
In ILCA 6, the Valencian Claudia Adam, a female category, has been sexta and the shooting David Ponseti, a male category, has been eighteenth. In addition the canary team of 29er female formed by Martina Lodos and Martina Diaz- Salguero has ended in sixth position.
Finally, in Formula Kite the competition has been marked by the difficulties of access to the sea from the beach and much of the fleet has been unable to compete in several tests. In the case of Spain, the shooting Zoe Fernández has been ninth in the female class and the Valencian Carlos Espí seventeenth in male.
