The Vidito Association has organized the first Meirande Nautical concentration, with the aim of promoting one of the most unique areas of the Ria de Vigo, the Meirande Museum.

In the spirit of making known the history of the battle of Rande, encourage to navigate into the river of Vigo by giving value to the landscape, the coast and the corners that it gives, and energize worthy areas of a greater cultural projection.

The vocation of Vierazón as an association is not only the promotion of the nautical of a sailing, a motor, a rowing or on any floating artifact, but also the sharing of experiences, ships and the promotion of a nautical culture in all its extent, including the dissemination of history. the nautical culture and of course the collective leisure around the central axis that is to love the sea and the nautical.

The organization calls for partners, friends, sympathizers and sea fans to travel to the Meirande museum by boat, by car, with a programme of activities consisting of guided tour to the Museum of the Battle of Rande, the tasting of mussels of the ria, courtesy of the Concello de Redondela and outdoor food, threatened by gaiteiros, as well as the recreation of the famous Battle of Rande by the Association of Sports and Cultural of Rande.

The attendees in their ships will sail in a conserved way from the meeting point, at the ETEEA meeting, with departure at 10: 00 AM, and expected arrival at the museum environment at 12: 00. There, the bateas, whose owners have granted us permission to do so, can be flattened or tied up in order to begin the first visits to the museum from 12: 30, in a group of 20 people.

The guests will be able to visit the ship Atyla, a historic 3-meter-long wooden sailboat that will fade in front of the museum after having made the Iacobus Maris maritime route, integrated into the fleet of large sailboats sailing from Genoa to Vigo, recreates part of the mythical journey of the remains of the Apostle Santiago from Palestine to Santiago de Compostela.
