The second day of regatta of the Puig Vela Classica gave the exit past two in the afternoon due to the lack of wind and a calm sea. However, the Barcelona regatta field and the Royal Nautical Club have again hosted the 30 agricultural ships that have participated for the second consecutive day in the fifth edition.

Stoically bearing the heat that was increasing today, the fleets of Classics, Epoch in their two categories Crab and Bermuda, and the Big Boats, got their reward at about three o'clock in the afternoon... when the race committee gave the first exit.

The classic Emeraude of the Italian Vittorio Cavazzana made an almost perfect race. After an impeccable exit he led the fleet haunted by the Kahurangi of Pepe de Miguel, holding the pull of the first Big Boat and Epoch and being, in addition, the only one to be able to navigate with spi almost the whole of the 1.9 miles of the penultimate stretch to a very closed way.

Retired at the exit, Leonardo García's Nerissa recovered its initial delay in the first stretch and followed not much distance to the Emeraude and Kahurangi. Without drawing attention to its minor length, Enrique Curt's Sea Fever was once again patient and sailing behind the leaders.

The Emeraude remains a leader by adding a second place in its partial locker today. Meanwhile, the third of the day Kahurangi and the fourth Nerissa occupy identical places in the general.

No change in the fleet of the Bermudian Epoch, when the British Argyll of Griff Rhys Jones took the initiative of his fleet without opposition and imposed on the test.

In his wake, the results of yesterday were also repeated by the Almarán New York of Manel López, Dione of Hans Alberecht and Islander of Ricardo Albiñana. For its part, Rafael Carrio's Grayling won again among the Crab Epoch and ensured the success of the Puig Regata in its category.

Tomorrow, the third and last day of the Barcelona Puig-Vela Classic Regata, with the third test at one o'clock in the afternoon... the sport emotion promises to be intense in the Classics and the Bermuda Epoch, where there may be changes in the final classification.
