The second season of the Pro Sailing Tour was decided literally in the last round... after maintaining an intense duel with Sam Goodchild's Leyton throughout the season, the Arkema of Quentin Vlamynck confirmed a well-deserved final victory after imposing in the Final Rush, an ocean stage of almost a thousand nautical miles between Cowes and the French town of Roscoff... the Spanish Alex Pella contributed to the title of the Arkema competing on board in the triumph of the team in the Episode 1

At the age of 28, Quentin Vamynck is the youngest pattern in the history of the Ocean Fifty flying trimarans, and he already demonstrated his talent by proclaiming himself as the Pro Sailing Tour subchampion in 2021. In this second season he starred in a qualitative leap in performance and regularity, taking a very good title after imposing himself in a duel with the title's defender, the Leyton of Sam Goodchild.

After three episodes in Bonifacio, Italy, the French towns of Brest and Saint Brieuc, and in the British town of Cowes, Arkema and Leytonan reached the last round separated by one point. The championship was decided at the Rush Final, an ocean tour of 940 nautical miles (1,740 km) between Cowes and Roscoff, on the coast of French Britain.

The head trio was followed by the Solidaires in Peloton- ARSEP by Thibaut Vauchel- Camus (third in 2021). Eric Peron's debutante Komilfo is expected to arrive on Sunday.

The Groupe GCA-1001 Sourires de Gilles Lamiré was forced to withdraw after losing the stick by giving way to a ferry from the estay to the southwest of the Scilly Islands, fortunately without consequences for the crew. The Primal of Sébastien Rogues did not come to take the exit after a stray reaching Cowes.

The frenzy season of the Pro Sailing Tour 2022 began in May with Episode 1 in Bonifacio (Corsica, Italy), with Vlamynck making clear his intentions by achieving his first victory after imposing in the first seven coastal races and in the 24 Hours Challenge around the south of Corsica, ahead of Goodchild and Le Roux... the Barcelona Ocean regatist Alex Pella was part of the Arkema crew in this very important first partial victory of the season.

In Episode 2, in Brest, the Goodchild Leyton won four of the six coastal races and the 24 Hours Challenge around Finistère. In the general, Leytonwas overtaking the Arkema by the minimum.

The pendulum reoscillated in Episode 3, held in the Breton port of Saint-Brieuc. Here, Vlamynck's were the best in the coastal race series, with four wins and two seconds, and they were made with the second place in the Offshore Challenge to Cowes, behind the Leyton, which returned them to the head of the general classification for one point. It would all be decided at the Rush Final.
