The National Optimist is finished by teams in Cadiz with Valencia as winner
Valencia has today proclaimed itself the champion of Spain of Optimist by Teams, by the hand of one of the two teams that have defended the Turia territory in the waters of the bay of Cadiz, composed of Marta Ferrando, Elena Pérez, Pedro Adam and Eduardo Reyes.
The Valencians take the witness of the baleares, a community that defends a title that they have fought to the end until they are proclaimed subchampions with the team composed of Neus Fernández, Amalia Coll, Carlos Martínez and Sean Sadler.
The third position is decided on the side of the other Valencian team, composed of Begoña Pérez, Carlota Gómez, Fernando Puig and Carlos Espi, winners on the Nikko Palou, Gabriela Morell, Ignacio Martín and María Roselló baleares. After both communities, the third autonomy was the host, who won the fifth place with a team of Adriana Serra, Roberto Aguilar, Mar Infante and Felipe Pachón.
The other host team of Leo Zabell, Carlete Gómez, Blanca López and Begoña Cañizares, is ranked in the tenth place, behind Catalonia A (sextos), Galicia A, Canaries B and Catalonia B, novios. Behind the host team are ordered the two canteen teams, Canary Islands A and Galicia B.
The final day has been marked by the wind of rising variable to times blowing at an intensity of 8 to 10 knots. The force today was put into the title, protagonists of the last meetings that have tested the team strategy and the temperance of the young employers. The first passes of the day were for the semifinals to the best of three, and ended with the finals to the best of five.
Following the race was the delivery of Spanish champion plates to all the members of the champion team, in an event held in the courtyard of ceremonies of the Specialized Centre of Sports Tecnification of Vela Bahia de Cadiz, headquarters of the Andalusian Federation of Vela in El Puerto de Santa María, which was attended by the City Council of El puerto de Santa María, Lola Campos and the secretary of the Optimist class of the FAV, José Medel.
The Spanish Championship for Optimist Autonomy Teams, which has ended today in the waters of the bay of Cadiz, has had the organization of the Andalusian Federation of Vela by delegation of the RFEV and the national secretary of the international class Optimist AECIO.
