The last day of the Spanish Cup Spirit of Adventure FKSS 2022 was marked by a very loose wind that hardly allowed a single test. Even so, the Spanish Alejandro Citation is back on top of the podium, adding a new victory and further strengthening its leadership in the general classification of the national circuit of Formula Kite. In girls, Gisela Pulido achieves the first position followed by Adelaide Marquenie and the Portuguese Mafalda Pires of Lima. This is how the final classifications were:

2022-07-02: Climent stands out in Spanish Cup FKSS 2022 de Castellón

In the eight disputed tests, the Spanish Alejandro Client consolidated his first provisional position after he managed to distance himself at twenty-four points from the second place. The Mexican Xantos Villegas is second, followed by the Portuguese Tomás Pires of Lima, who maintains the third temporary position.

The second day of the Spanish Cup Spirit of Adventure FKSS 2022 started with light winds of a north-east component and an intensity of five to six knots that quickly climbed to eight knots, allowing the race committee led by the Chief Regatta Officer Alexandre Durán to raise the Delta flag at 12: 20 minutes on the beach of Gurugu.

After the Valencian, the emotion of the day was brought by the Mexican Xantos Villegas, who went up to the second provisional position after getting four seconds, three quarters and a DNC that could be excluded from the classification.

The Spanish Kiko Peiró, who finished the previous day in second place, fell to the sixth place after retiring from the first manga of the day by making a mistake by misperforming the course of the test and getting an UFD in the fourth test.

2022-07-01: Alejandro Citation stands out at the opening of the FKSS 2022 in Castellón

The Valencian Alejandro Climent inaugurated the provisional podium both this fifth race of the Cutty Sark Spirit of Adventure FKSS and the simultaneous Spanish Cup of the Formula Kite class... behind it, the Valencian also Kiko Peiró and the Portuguese Tomás Pires de Lima completed the provisional podium of the queen category... it is expected that the Advanced and F-one Amateur category will begin the tests next day.

Thirty-five regatists of nine different nationalities were launched into the sea at the beginning of the first day of competition in the waters of Castellón. Tomás Pires de Lima crossed the line of arrival of the first manga first followed by the young Kiko Peiró and Alejandro Climent second and third place respectively.

After this first manga, Citation was reinstated and left behind the entire fleet in the following tests of the day, reaching first in the second, third and fifth manga. In the fourth manga of the day, a Spanish error was used by Mexican Xantos Villegas to cross the line of arrival in the first place.

The young regatist of the Kite Formula, Kiko Peiró, achieved one of his best starts of competition, ending the day in second place just four points away from Citation. In the five tests of the day, Peiró achieved three seconds, a third and a fourth place, the latter being discarded from the classifications thanks to the minimum test required to be able to rule out a result.

The Portuguese Tomás Pires of Lima, once again placed on the provisional podium, after achieving a second in Ibiza. Pires de Lima, as well as finishing first in the first test of the day, managed to cross the arrival line in third place on one occasion, fourth on two occasions and sixth on the penultimate manga.

2022-06-30: The Olympic kitesurf returns to the Spanish waters

This morning, with the representation of a group of athletes and national teams from Portugal, Mexico and Spain, the fifth stop of the Formula Kite Spain Series 2022, which in turn will be the Spanish Cup of this Olympic class, was presented by the mayor and the sports councilman of Castelló.

An event, as anticipated, has proved to be one of the most expected races of the season by the athletes, confirming its participation of almost half a hundred regatists, many of them international who continue to fight to occupy a square in the next Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

As in previous editions, the Eolo Castellón Sports Club will host the test with its strategic facilities on the Gurugu beach, with the technical collaboration of the Real Club Nautico de Castellón.
