The World Championship of Optimist 2022 is held from today until next Wednesday in the middle of Turkey in the city of Bodrum, with the participation of five Spanish regatists.

Over eight days, 276 regatists from 60 countries will be measured to achieve both the individual world scepter and the country title. The first three days of competition will be destined for fleet navigation, then two days of team racing will be held and the last three days will decide the individual male and female championship.

The organization, for the fleet races, has planned a total of 12 tests, with a maximum of three per day... the weather predictions are from medium to strong winds, as Bodrum has a large bay, where a daily thermal is generated at these summer dates.
