It has been almost ten years of waiting for Sete Benavides to collect his bronze prize. A medal that was to be received on the podium on the afternoon of August 11, 2012, when on the track Eton Dorney was held the Olympic final of the C1 200 meters and although on that occasion he could not live the moment, it was today, in the house of the Spanish sport, when the baller has seen rewarded the work and effort of that day.

The President of the COE, Alejandro Blanco, together with the President of the Royal Spanish Federation of Piragüismo, Javier Hernanz, and the Vice President of the International Federation of Piragüismo, Lluís Rabaneda, have been responsible for giving him the medal along with the accredited diploma.

Benavides, who with this medal adds 25 in a wide palmaris between the world, Europeans and now Olympic Games, was excited to be able to live a unique moment.
