The dupla Marcos Míguez- Jose Ramón Pardo of the Marina Coruña Nautical Club were awarded the Galician Championship of the Snipe class, which organized this weekend the Real Club Nautico de La Coruña.

This Sunday, despite the adverse conditions of time, it was possible to leave the fourth manga at 3.10 hours - an hour later than expected - with 14 knots of force but waves of 2.5 to 3 meters. Another crew of the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña, that of Jaime de Miranda and Juan García Tizón, who are second in the Galician ranking of the season, made an eighth, a fifth and a DNF in the third manga, which leads them to the tenth position.

Twenty snipes will be playing this weekend the legendary City of La Coruña Trophy, which meets its forty-ninth edition organized by the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña, and which will begin at two o'clock this Saturday afternoon, with tests throughout the weekend.
This edition has the official quality of being the Galician Championship and once again enters the national calendar. This is one of the oldest competitions in Spain and Galicia has one of the most important and oldest fleet of this ship.
This Trophy, a large silver Tower of Hercules, began to be held in 1973 and its first winner was the Malagasy Félix Gancedo, one of the best Spanish regatists of all time, with its mythical Grand Numa. In addition, Félix Gancedo is the only sportsman who owns the trophy on five occasions... the last winner of the event in last year's edition was the crew formed by Jaime de Miranda and Juan García Tizón.
