The Europeans of Slovakia were completed. On the closing day Maialen rolled the bronze (RFEP Archive).

Olympic medalist Maialen Chourraut has caressed the bronze medal at the Slalom European Championships that have ended in Liptovsky Mikulas (Slovakia). Maialen was ranked for the final with the ninth best record while the other Spanish in the semifinals of the K1, Irati Goikoetxea (114.29), was kept at the gates of the final in the twelfth place, less than two seconds from the German Pfeifer which was classified for the final in the 10th position. In the final victory of Pfeifer 108.86, followed by Slovenian Kragelj 109.44 and Slovak Jana Dukatova 111.13. Maialen finished 6th with a chrono 110.74 for a total of 112.74 plus a dubious penalty on the remount door number 15. The Slovak Kaliska and the Czech Kudejova held the 4th and 5th positions respectively.

At the end of the female K1 by teams that closed the Spanish participation in these Slalom Europeans disputed in Slovakia with the rain and the cold intense accompanying each day Spain with Maialen Chourraut, Marta Martínez and Irati Goikoetxea ended in 8th place with victory of Britain, followed by Germany and Slovakia winning bronze.
