After eight contested sleeves, the boat of the RCNB 'Noticia' by Luis Martín Cabiedes with the world champion of J80 Pablo Santurde in the tribado, thanks to its regularity in the three days of the trial, is proclaimed winner of the J70.

'Alcaidesa Marina 'by German Panei with patron Gustavo Martínez gets second place with very good results in the last two days. Close the "Serious Fun" podium by British Tony Hayward, who started leading the classification but failed to master the Saturday and Sunday tests.

In the class ORC 0-1 'Rats on Fire' of Catalan Rafael Carbonell with the patron Jorge Martínez Dureste, after the bad result of yesterday with little wind, he went back to achieving two first and proclaiming himself again champion with thirteen Trofeos, already his ten consecutive victory.

The Italian Swan 42 'Selene-Alifax' of Massimo de Campo, gets second place with two third in the last sleeves, fighting with great intensity until the last moment. Close the podium the Swan 45 'Brujo' by Alberto Castro del RCN Valencia.

In ORC 2, with a total of five disputed tests, the Romanian boat 'Essensia44' by Catalin Trandafir who got three 1, first installed on the podium followed by 'Es tes unno...' by Francisco Soldevila, and the third locker is for 'Miaja X' by Jaime Samon.

Second day of the test of the 49 edition of the Trophy of Vela Conde Godó that is held in the waters of the city Condal. If the competition was launched yesterday in the class ORC A2, today it has been the turn of the usual ORC and J70 fleets.

This Friday's day has been fought with perfect conditions to celebrate the day's tests, with a constant wind of south-west direction (195-205) and an intensity between 9 to 14 knots that has allowed to complete the two sleeves scheduled in the ORC area. The fleet of 38 cruise ships has been divided into four classes, ORC 0-1, ORC 2, ORC 3, ORC 4-5.

Among the largest ranges, Rafael Carbonell's Swan 45 'Rats On Fire' (CN Arenys de Mar) achieved two first, reaffirming on its first day, his status as champion of twelve Godó Trofeos.'Immens Hydra 'of Lapsia-Chaves (CN the Balis), premiere in second position, and close the podium of the partials the Swan 42 CS' Selene-Alifax 'of Massimo de Campo (YC Lignano).

In the J70 monotypes race field, a dozen units have competed for four sleeves. After 4: 00 in the afternoon, the fastest boats in the ORC A Dos fleet crossed the arrival line, which yesterday opened the 49 Conde de Godó Sail Trophy with a 144-mile long race.

Smerit de Tito Moure (CV Blues) is the first two-crew boat to cross the line of arrival of the offshore regatta Barcelona- Faro Tortosa - Barcelona (144 miles) for the class ORC A Two, with a total of 24: 33: 07 hours inverted.

A few minutes later, Duende de Inés Rodríguez (CN Arenys de Mar) arrived with 24: 36: 20 hours and Korrigan 4 from Joan Balaguer (24: 10: 23 hours). The rest of the ships are still coming, and it will last for the night.

First day of competition for the class of recent incorporation in this edition of the Godó Vela, organized continuously by the Royal Nautical Club of Barcelona with the support of the Godó family, on the brink of its 50th anniversary.

The ORC A Two fleet has been divided into two groups, using the All Purpose ToD parameter as a reference. So there will be classification of each of the groups. There will also be the classification for mixed crews made up of people of different sexes.

The one in charge of opening the race will be the ORC A Two class, the recent incorporation in this competition that begins its first trial with the incentive to try the Barcelona race field for the celebration of the ORC Double Handed World Championship, the world championship of the ORC A Two class to be held in September 2023, under the organization of the RCNB.

The two-crew cruise class, along with the usual ORC and J70 monotypes, is 70 boats and 550 regatists who will fight for four days for one of the most important trophies on the national calendar.

The first test for the ORC A Two crews will start tomorrow, Thursday, 26 May, at 4 p.m., if wind conditions allow. The Regatas Committee has planned up to seven routes, with departure and arrival to Barcelona, the longest journey to the north, from Barcelona to Cap de Creus, has a 180-mile tour. Other shorter options: Barcelona- Medas Islands (154 miles), Barcelon- Odas Begur (144 miles), Barcelona- Palamós (100 miles), Barcelona- Blanes (70 miles). Among the routes to the south: Barcelon- La Petrolera (105 miles), and Barcelona-Faro de Tortosa (150 miles).

Among the fleet that starts with the first Trophy test tomorrow is represented by six countries: Belgium, France, Finland, the Netherlands and Spain, and although for now it is difficult to point out a favorite, the presence of the "Duende 50 'of Inés Rodríguez (RCNB), the SunFast 40' Varano del Desierto 'of Santiago Towse (CN Arenys) and the Swan 45' Smerit 'of Tito Moure (Vela Blanes) as some of the vessels that demonstrate the high level of this category.
