The Tembra Vela Diputación de Alicante is renewed in its twenty-fourth edition

This year's edition has included new classes, and it is expected that more than a half a hundred ships will participate from different points in Spain.
The twenty-fourth edition of the Tembra Vela Diputación de Alicante will be held from 7 to 10 July in the waters of Alicante, starting a new era within the Spanish Cup of Cruises ORC and the League of Cruises of the Valencia Community 'Trofeo Generalitat'. The great novelty will be the inclusion of the Iberdrola Circuit of Women's Sailing reserved for the J80 class.
Among the teams that have already announced their presence in the XXVI Tembra Vela Diputación de Alicante is the four-time winner of the King's Cup, the Estrella Damm Sailing Team, usually patronized by the Olympic regatist Luis Martínez Doreste, and that among others counts between its crew with the alicandist Aleix Gelabert and the alicantino navigator Gonzalo Infante, representing the Real Club Marímo and Tennis de Punta Umbria; the Plis Play de Vicente García, of the Real Club of Regatas de Alicante or the Nemoxo de Pablo and the Real Club de Pablo. As well as the Dorsia Sailing Team of Núria Sánchez and Natàlia Via-Dufresne in J80.
The ORC classes will have a maximum of five tests, one of which will be a classic race with a coastal route to the island of Tencarca, an iconic place that gives name to the race. The J80 monotypes will compete on 8 and 9 days on barlovento-sotavento routes.
The XXVI Tembra Vela Trophy is organized by the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante, by delegation of the Real Federación Española de Vela, the collaboration of the Spanish Association of Nautical Clubs and the authorization of the Federació de Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana... the regata has the institutional support of the Diputación de Alicante, the Council of Sports of the City of Alicante, Costa Blanca, Alicante City & Beach and Alicante Sport Destination.
