The victory in Class A of the Reial Club Maritim of Barcelona was confirmed in the Spanish Cup of Catamaranes- Grand Prix Cidade da Coruña, which has organized by delegation of the Real Federación Española de Vela, the Club Náutico Marina Coruña, which chairs the legendary ocean regatist Chuny Bermudez de Castro.
The regatist Quique Cornejo del Maritim of the City of Condal, with a series in seven valid sleeves of three first, two seconds and a third (dismissing an eighth) accumulated a total of 10 points, one less than its great rival on this occasion, the Olympic Gustavo Doreste of the Royal Nautical Club of Barcelona that achieved a first and five seconds. The bronze was for another Barcelona athlete, José López, also from the Nautico and five points from the leader. Back to a large level Ameixende of the Oza Beach.
Excellent wind and sea conditions on the closing day in the waters of La Coruña: 10 to 14 kt bears, which allowed to raise the number of sleeves held to seven in Class A and to eight in the F18, in which the Migiya-Torné couple of the Níutic Club of Vilanova was imposed. The Barcelonese made partials of three first, one second, one third and two quarters. As they discounted a fourth position, they accumulated 16 net points.
After them, the Gallegos Orsmond and Esteban Martínez of the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña, who, while beginning loose with an 8th and a 12th... from here they sailed to an incredible level: two first and four seconds, which made them seconds in the general, very close to the Catalans, and their victory would not have been unfair. The bronze was also for the Puerto Rican Polimeni-Bargallo of Vilanova.
It is also important to highlight in this category the regatists of the Nautico de Cabanas de Ferrolterra Diego and Alvaro Corral who reached a more than meritorious fifth place. In the category Interseries was imposed Alfonso Gil of the Club de Vela Playa de Oza.
Total success of this Spanish Cup of Catamaranes, by the hand of Marina Coruña that is being made a hole as organizer of elite events within the candle. In the last hour of Sunday, the closure took place in an event chaired by the sports owner of the Herculino Consistory, Mónica Martínez and with Luis Yáñez of the company Biologique Recherche... in the purest style of the nautical in Europe: at the foot of outdoor pants.

2022-05-28: Quique Cornejo del Maritim of Barcelona takes command of the A in La Coruña
Quique Cornejo of the Reial Club Maritim of Barcelona after obtaining two first places in the sleeves of Saturday, is the new leader of Class A of the Spanish Cup of Catamaranes- Grand Prix Cidade da Coruña. The Barcelona regatist, managed to relegate the great favorites, the three of the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona: Gustavo Doreste, José López and Andres Grau.
However they are very close in score and on Sunday on the closing day, which will begin at 12: 00 in the morning, the uncertainty is total. The closure of this event that is holding the attention of the light candle this weekend at the national level, will be held at five in the afternoon at the facilities of Marina Coruña, and will be chaired by the sports headline of the Coruñés City Council, Monica Martínez.
It took the wind to appear in the La Coruña era, and it did so with a certain speed, but when it had been three o'clock in the afternoon: 10 knots of a northern component, which allowed for two sleeves to be held, and therefore each of the participants could discard their worst score in the general computation.

Image of the F18 with Fabian Migoya- Alberto Torné del Náutico Vilanova of Barcelona dominating (Photo Pedro Seoane)
It was surprising among the A's, the one that Cornejo achieved the first two, while Gustavo Dorest achieved two seconds... and which has curiously achieved four seconds in four sleeves. For his part, José López, who slept as a leader on Friday... was third and fourth. Among the three must be the victory on Sunday, since Andrés Grau is a little far from the group of three he commands.
In F18 to be no less change of leaders, for Migoya- Torné of the Níutic Club of Vilanova of Barcelona, they claimed their 4th and 1st, unbanching Polimeno-Bargello for a provisional point, which have seven points, as well as the third on the podium: Griffihs-Rochel del Garraf Barcelona.
The best Gallegos for the time being: in Class A Ameixenda of the Oza de La Coruña Beach (6th) and in F18 the Wyatt Orsmond- Esteban Martínez of the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña and the Viguese tandem Manuel Garcia- Florent Camemplose of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo (respectively 5th and 6th in general).
