Navalia closes its best edition with a high reserve of spaces for 2024
Navalia 2022 comes to an end as the best edition since its birth in 2006. After four years without an event because of the pandemic, and with the cancellation of the quote scheduled for 2020, the eighth edition has now been closed with the best figures of exhibitors, international participation and forecasts for the future. The last event was attended by Alfonso Rueda, president of the Xunta de Galicia; Francisco Conde, first Vice President and Conselleiro of Economics, Industry and Innovation; and Marta Fernández-Tapas, delegate of the Xunta de Galicia in Vigo.
So things, and even a few hours to close the event, 60% of the exhibitors present in this edition had already reserved their participation in Navalia 2024, an appointment that already has new dates of celebration. The ninth edition of the fair will be held from 21 to 23 May 2024. The vast majority of exhibitors have shown their intention to increase square meters and several international delegations have also confirmed their intention to expand representation with International Pavilions, as has already happened in this edition with Colombia or Argentina. In addition, 20 visitors who have come to Navalia for the first time have requested space as exhibitors for the 2024 fair.
The eighth edition of Navalia 2022 has been by far the best of all appointments since its birth in 2006. Since then the growth has been exponential, increasing the participation in each edition, and from almost 200 exhibitors in 2006 to 431 in the 2022 edition.
As for the number of visitors, the fair has met the target set for this year of reaching the 20,000 visitors during the three days of the event. The visit of SM the King to Navalia has been a definitive step towards this biennial meeting, which is the first in Spain and the third in Europe in its sector.
2022-05-25: In two days Navalia overcomes the bar of 14000 visitors

The Navy Day, held in the Auditorium, has had over 300 attendees and several international delegations have visited the hall, highlighting the presence of Miami and a wide representation of African countries in Angola, Côte d'Ivoire and Mauritania
The first two days have been a visitor success for Navalia. Traditionally the strong day of the living room is the second, but the visit of SM the King to the opening of Navalia 2022 has exceeded the 14,000 visitors in two days of the fair. The second day has been characterized by the queues from the first hour to access the fair and the numerous meetings on many stands, which could be seen also from mid-morning.
For the first time, the fair has today premiered the Ifevi auditorium as a venue for technical days to host the Navy meeting that has brought together more than 300 attendees.
In addition, several international delegations have visited the eighth edition throughout the day, highlighting the presence of Miami, and a wide representation of African countries in Angola, Côte d'Ivoire and Mauritania.
The visit of the Miami delegation culminates in the talks that began in April 2019 during Navalia's participation in the Seatrade Cruise Global, when Javier Arnau, director of the fair, held various meetings, including with the Vice President of the Miami Dade Beacon Council and a delegation from the United States Department of Foreign Trade.
2022-05-24: The King presides over the opening of the Navalia naval fair in Vigo

He visited almost a fortnight of exhibitors during his tour of the fair and then met in a private meeting of over 150 guests. This is the first time that the Monarch has presided over the opening of such an event in Galicia.
As Navalia President José García Costas announced a few weeks ago, Navalia's eighth edition has not been able to have a better gift after four years without activity. King Felipe VI opened the new meeting, accompanied by the President of the Xunta de Galicia, Alfonso Rueda; the Minister of Justice, Pilar Llop; the head of the opposition, Alberto Núñez Feijóo; the President of the Galicia Parliament, Miguel Ángel Santalices; the Government delegate in Galicia, José Manuel Miñones; the mayor of Vigo, Abel Caballero; and the President of Navalia, José García Costas.
During his visit to Navalia, Don Felipe visited the stands of Abanca, Ibercisa, Navantia, Metalships, the Conselleria do Mar de la Xunta de Galicia; Freire Shipyards, Grupo Emenasa, Siemens, Cardama, Astilleros Armon, Bombas Azcue, Gondán, Nodosa and Industrias Ferri.
His Majesty the King was interested in the F110 frigate of Navantia, the Sea Cloud Spirit frigate (one of the largest sailboats in the world, built by Metalships & Ducks) and also the oceanographic ship that builds Armon for the IEO. He was also surprised at the work of the auxiliary industry and the quality of the Galician shipyards.
At the end of the tour, Don Felipe held a private meeting with over 150 guests, including authorities, members of the Navy, naval professionals and media officials. This is the first time that the monarch has opened an event of these characteristics in Galicia.
