Alejandro Climent wins the second stop of the Cutty Sark Spirit of Adventure FKSS circuit after a weekend of complicated conditions (Photo Toni Forqués)

Alejandro Climent is able to climb to the top of the podium in the first race of the Cutty Sark "Spirit of Adventure" FKSS in the waters of the Cantabrian Sea. The Asturian Diego Anta gets a first position in the F-one Amateur class, while the Catalan Pau Soler takes first place in the Advanced class.

Unfortunately, as the morning progressed, the wind began to decline. The race committee at 10.30 a.m. recorded an intensity of between 4 and 6 knots in the water and in an attempt to take advantage of the day was chosen to raise the Delta flag on the central beach of San Lorenzo but it was not more than 5 minutes when the committee recorded a fall in intensity to just 3 knots, forcing to raise the deferral flag.

A couple of hours later, the regatta officer, Alexandre Duran, decided to try again, but again the wind cashed again. Finally, seeing the behavior of the wind as well as the weather, which provided that the situation would not improve, the race committee decided to end the day at around 2 p.m.

The state of absence of wind in addition to the rain of the previous day, resulted in the configuration of the final podium of the Cutty Sark "Spirit of Adventure" FKSS in Gijón being determined by the classification obtained in the six tests that were disputed on the first day of competition.

In this way, the Valencian Alejandro Client took home the first prize of the Open Pro category, followed by the 12-point tie of British Jack Mckendrick and Argentine Federico Aguilar.

After competing for the first time at the Cutty Sark Spirit of Adventure FKSS and doing so in its own home, the Asturian Diego Anta went up to the top of the F-one Amateur class podium. On the other hand, Pau Soler was able to get the first position in the Advanced category.
