The race was organized by the Zaragoza Windsurf Club, an entity that annually promotes the practice of windsurfing in Aragon (Photo Lluis Pascual)

The Windsurf- Slalom 2022 National Aragon and OPEN Championship was held in the Zaragozana waters of Gallur within the Funboard Class, with about 50 regatists in competition.

Again, the reservoir of La Loteta, again proved to be a perfect enclave for the practice of windsurfing and above all to have a spectacular wind that when it appears, can allow the realization of great races.

In all the sleeves carried out, the route was the same, that is, four sections of long navigation, including three spectacular transferees or buoy steps and exit from barlovento with a 3-minute countdown.

From the first of the sleeves, the slight superiority of the two Catalan windsurfers who attended this open race was seen. Thus, both Marius Sola and Xavier Baldi achieved with authority and the first and second absolute position of the competition.

After them, Nacho Arce, he rose with the third place of the general after a race in which he went from less to more and having achieved two bright seconds on the third and fourth test and meritorily ascending to the podium.

As for the Aragon championship, Rafael de La Figuera's clear victory. This veteran oscense regatist, showed a very high level of navigation with fire, (allowing the boat to be raised over the water), although, when in the last two partial tests of the day, the wind of the close has been sufficiently reheated, it was no longer able to navigate as fast as before. After La Figuera, they went up to the podium of Aragón Leonardo Urquijo and Jorge Galiano.
