The last day of the Spanish Championship of ILCA 7, which has been taking place in the Puerto Deportivo Juan Montiel de Águilas, began with a south-east wind that, ranging between the 7-8 knots of intensity, allowed to rise delta and give a timely exit at 12.00h. And even though the wind has fallen, causing a long wait at sea, finally after 14: 30, the wind was again taking on intensity and allowed a new test to begin, making the championship close with 8 sleeves.
The Pep Hunting Ballet (CN s'Arenal) has given the great surprise of the day. While jumping to the fifth sea in the general, the regularity obtained in each of the tests, together with the fact that its main rivals have not been successful in this last day, have led to the proclamation of the Spanish champion of ILCA 7 2022.
Any detail has been conclusive and Carlos Roselló (CN Ibiza) has cost him the title. While he reached the lead in the penultimate manga, a tenth in the eighth test has cost him the national gold and finally he has hung the silver of the championship.
The absolute national medalist is completed by Catalan Ricard Castellvi (CN Cambrils) who in turn has proclaimed himself the Spanish champion of ILCA 7 in sub21 category. The second position in sub21 has been left for the Valencian Gonzalo Suárez (CN Altea) and in third position also the balar Javier Seguí (RCN Pto Pollença) being in first place in sub19 category.
Given the international participation in this championship, the organization has decided to create the "Juan Montiel International" class for regatists from other countries. It was the Argentine Agustín Vidal who won in this category, followed by the Portuguese José Medes and, thirdly, the Ukrainian Andreii Verdish.

Tomorrow the ILCA7 Spanish Championship continues at the Juan Montiel Sports Port with the first scheduled departure at 12.00h and where if weather allows, three other tests are scheduled
The Puerto Deportivo Juan Montiel de Águilas is again the focus of the national light candle by hosting the Spanish Championship of ILCA 7 that has started today and will be held until the next 15 May.
The start of the race has been spectacular. A constant wave and a rising wind, which has been increasing to 16 knots of intensity, have left an idyllic and regatta day for both the athletes, who have successfully premiered in the race field, and for Committee, which has been able to give a timely exit in the bay of Eagles and complete the three tests planned.
Carlos Roselló (CN Ibiza) and Pablo Guitian (CD Cádiz), equal to points, become the first leaders of the Spanish ILCA 7 Championship. For both of them, the day has developed very well, since, while in the first test of the day, none of them managed to cross the goal between the first three, the following two sleeves have not been resisted and have been decisive to place them at the top of the general as they dominated both partials.
In the third absolute place is Gonzalo Suárez (CN Altea) who in turn is leader in sub21, because within the same race there are absolute category and sub21 category. At one point comes Ricard Castellvi (CN Cambrils) who, with a quarter in the general, goes up to a silver position in category Sub21. And closing the top five Mario Plomer (CV Port d'Andratx).
