The long race inaugurates the Palma Vela in Mallorcan waters

The prologue of the RCNP race brings together 21 vessels, twice as many as they participated in last year's inaugural edition.
La Larga - The Offshore Race will open tomorrow Sunday the 18th edition of the PalmaVela race, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Palma, with a high journey in which 21 cruises will participate and will serve as a prologue to the multiclase competition that will begin on May 4.
The weather parts have forced a rethinking of the routes, due to the announcement of a five-hour glow, starting at midnight, on the channel between Mallorca and Ibiza. The Regatas Committee has decided that the largest sailboats cover the 195 miles distance between Palma, Dragonera, Tagomago, Cabrera, Portocolom and Palma, while the rest of the fleet is saved the passage through Tagomago at about 130 miles.
The exit of the Larga will be given, if conditions permit, at 12 noon tomorrow. The fastest ships could arrive at the port of Palma from the afternoon of Monday. Among the largest ranges will be the "Pelotari Project," of the RCNP and patronized by Jonsi Seguí, who repeated in this first act of PalmaVela after last year completed the 220 nautical miles of tour in 26 hours and 59 minutes.
