80 young regatists from 10 Valencian nautical clubs have competed this weekend in the Santa Pola race field

The Club Náutico de Santa Pola has hosted the Autonomical Championship of the Optimist class of the Federació de Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana this weekend. This competition is included in the Memorial 10 de Mayo, which this year has celebrated its 3th edition. About 80 regatists from 10 nautical clubs in the Valencia Community have moved to this bay of the Costa Blanca to compete in the categories Sub 16 and Sub 13.

The absolute leaders of the championship and of the category Sub 16 have been Peter Adam in the male version and White Ferrando in the female version. The silver and bronze of the category Sub 16 male go to the Real Regatas Club of Alicante with José Eugenio and Joaquín Valero respectively. The second and third position of the female podium Sub 16 have been obtained by the javeanense Carlota Gómez and the torreviejense Claudia Gómez.

In the head of the category Sub 13 male is Raúl Martínez, from the Nautical Club of Jávea, with 51 net points. In second position and 10 points away, the silver is taken by the Alicantino Ignacio Jerónimo Sánchez. Closing the top three of this classification is that of the Real Club Nautico de Torrevieja, Juan Francisco Chumilla, with a net score of 63.

The young Marta Ferrando, from the Royal Nautical Club of Valencia, takes the female general bronze and the female gold Sub 13 autonomic. His partner, Elena Alvarez- Miranda, is made with the female silver of this category thanks to 146 net points. And the bronze stays in Santa Pola with Elsa Sellés and its 157 points.
