In Gijón he finished the Astorian of Optimist, FEVA and ILCA 4-7

Gonzalo Jaudenos in Optimist, Mateo Fernández in ILCA 4 and Covadonga Fernández and Carmen Simal in FEVA, champions of Asturias.

Under the direction of the Real Club Astur de Regatas, during the weekend there was held in Gijón the Championship of Asturias of Light Sailing for the classes: Optimist, ILCA 4 and FEVA.

In total, 2 of the 6 sleeves were held, both on Saturday, with a north-east wind of 6 to 8 knots of intensity and a flat sea. On Sunday although it was tried to the end, the Regatas Committee was forced to cancel the day after 3 hours of waiting in the water.

Gonzalo Jaudenes was established in the Optimist class, after two seconds of the score, the subchampionship was for Marta Simal, with a quarter and a first in his locker, the same score obtained Alvaro Alonso, who won the first manga and was fourth in the second.

In ILCA 4, the triumph was for Mateo Fernández who crossed the two sleeves in first position, the silver was for Julio Riba, second in both tests. The third position was obtained by Inés Sánchez with a fourth and a third.

Covadonga Fernández and Carmen Simal, favorites a priori, did not disappoint, won the two sleeves and proclaimed themselves champions of Asturias in the FEVA class. Secundas were the couple formed by Marta Durán and Carmen Ayuela who ended up in the second position in the two sleeves, the third square would be for Marta Suárez and Alfonso Fernández.

The next weekend will be held in the waters of Gijón Bay, the light sailing Asturias Championship for the classes: Optimist, ILCA 4, ILCA 7 and Feva,

The organization of the championship is in charge of the Real Club Astur de Regatas, and has the collaboration of the Federation of Sailing of the Principality of Asturias.

Four tests are planned, the first manga's attention signal will be given on Saturday at 12.30 p.m., same schedule as Sunday. There will be no more than three tests per day. On the other hand, at least one sleeve must be finished for the Championship to be valid.

The regatists of the School of Sailing of the Regatas Club go out to repeat the good results collected in the past editions and are the main favorites to take the titles in play.
