The youth competition, for ILCA 6 and 7, has been held in the waters of Hourtin, France

The Canarian regatist Isabel Hernández (RCN Gran Canaria) has finished in third position in the European Championship sub21 in class ILCA 6. To the bronze obtained by Hernandez are added the positions of Top 10 of the Galician Claudia Sobral (CM Oza) and the Miriam Sitges (CN San Antonio de la Playa), fifth and eighth respectively.

The European sub21 for the ILCA6 and ILCA7 classes was held from 17 to 21 April in the waters of Hourtin (France). In ILCA6 the triumph has been for the Israeli Shai Kakon, followed by the Cypriot Marilena Makri, closing the Hernandez podium, which reached the last day in fourth position and finally managed to climb a post and finish in third place. A total of 11 sleeves were held.

The Spanish participation in ILCA6 was completed with the pliers Claudia Adam (CN Santa Pola), the tenth second, Laura Himmes (RCN Calpe), the fifth and the bat María Martínez (RCR Santiago de la Ribera), the twenty-fifth.

In ILCA7, the best-classified spagñol was Gonzalo Suárez (CN Altea) fifteenth. They also competed: Samuel Beneyto (RCN Gran Canaria), 19; Javier Seguí (CN Port de Pollença), 21; Ricard Castellví (CN Cambrils), 26; Marcos Altarriba (RCN Valencia), 42; and Adolfo Virgili (RCR Santiago de la Ribera), 47. The victory in ILCA 7 was for the Dutch Paul Hameeteman, after the holding of six classification tests and four finals.

ILCA's youth spñol team is demonstrating a high level in the European Championship that is being held in Hourtin, France. After the first three days of competition, a total of 12 Spanish athletes have got the pass to the gold group, six in ILCA 6 and six in ILCA 7.

Claudia Adam, a regatist of the Valencian community, is being the most prominent of the national combination and leads the ILCA fleet with loose. Alongside it, Spain has three other athletes in top 10 positions: the Galician Claudia Sobral, Isabel Hernández de Cataluña and Lara Himmes de la Valenciana. The Miriam Sitges, thirteenth, and the Maria Martínez bat, seventeenth will also compete in a gold group.

In ILCA 7, it highlights the participation of Gonzalo Suárez of the Valencian Federation, fifth classified, and Ricard Castellví, eighth... in addition to the Valencian Marcos Altarriba occupies the fifteenth position.
