The competition involved athletes of the youth, senior and sub 23 categories in the distances of 1000, 500 and 200 meters individually

This Sunday, the first race of the Euroresion League was held at the David Cal de Verducido Sports Centre, with the presence of Galician and Portuguese teams.

At the end of the day, the team classification ended with the Pontevedra Naval Club in first position, followed by the E.P. City of Pontevedra and Club As Torres.

In the morning the finals of the distance of 1000 meters were held, where the Portuguese Olympic medalist Fernando Pimenta took the victory in K1, ahead of Antonio Palmas del Piragüismo Vilaboa and Iago Monteaguo del Naval de Pontevedra.

While in C1, the first position would be for David Barreiro of the Breogan, being second and third respectively Jaime Duro of the E.P. The city of Pontevedra and Diego Miguéns del As Torres.

In females the gold in K1 was taken by the palist of the Lugo Szilvia Kollo River, the silver and the bronze were for Emma Via del Ria de Betanzos and Lua Cubiella of the Nautical O Muiño.

The final 200 meters would be the following where the medals were distributed, the Portuguese Hugo Rocha ended first in K1, second would be Javier Benito del Ria de Betanzos and third Miguel Ordóñez de Piragüismo Ria Baixas.

Szilvia Kollo repeated victory in the female K1, Lua Cubiella second and Valería Romero del Cidade de Lugo third. In the canoe mode, Pablo Graña del Náutico Rodeira took the gold in C1, accompanied him on the podium Manuel Fontán del Náutico O Muiño and Luis Guerra del Fluvial de Lugo.

The podium of the female finale was completed by Begoña Lazkano, Laia Pelachs and Carolina García, and this final had the presence of Teresa Portela who ended in fourth place.

Adrián Sieiro del Piragüismo Poio won in C1, Manuel Fontán would be second and Pablo Graña third. In women María Pérez took the victory ahead of Antía Romero and Andrea Romero del Náutico Firrete.

In addition, it is important to highlight the youth athlete of the As Torres Diego Torrado who was made with the gold in the three distances, as well as Irene Lata del Ria de Betanzos or Cristina Soutelo del Kayak Tudense who had a good performance in category Sub 23 by getting two oars.
